Good news....We are still in first and if we win out on this 4 game home stretch we should win the league

Okauru is on freakin' fire and he doesn't get a shot in almost three minutes until the game is pretty much over after we've turned the ball over and jacked 3ptrs. Hofstra, on the other hand, puts the ball in the guys hands that is on fire and he closes it out. We get them in the bonus, draw a fourth foul, then we don't attack the guy who won't be able to defend.

Well, we're 1-2 to start the second half of conference play after going 9-0. We're reverting back to reliance on three pointers at crunch time instead of driving and getting to the FT line to close it out. That was my fear after the Elona and William and Mary game. Our formula is simple, effective and gets us wins. When we were disciplined to start the winning streak we were at about 15 three point attempts or less and 25% of our attempts were from three. To start the second half of conference play here's where we are. 48.2% of our FG attempts have been from three. Yes we are shooting well from three, but it means less offensive rebounds for second chances, and especially at the end of a game, we miss the opportunity to score with the clock stopped at the FT line.

Elon - 30 three pt. attmempts out of 58(51.7% of attempts)
W&M - 30 three pt. attempts out of 55(54.5% of attempts)
Hofstra - 23 three pt. attempts out of 62(37% of attempts)

Hofstra fans seem to struggle mightily with statistics.

We are not TIED for the season with anyone in the CAA. UNCW is 10-2 and Hofstra is 7-4. Must be some sort of math deficiency in NY. And I see both Hofstra's fans have wandered over to our boards.

Three of our starters were 6-24 and had 14 points between them. I will take our chances if we see you in DC cause that wont happen again.. Kudos on the win, it seems from the way you act you havent experienced many. Oh, BTW....enjoy the rest of the winter in that cesspool you call home.

I think had we had a timeout left we probably would have.

Hofstra has no fan base to speak of like most if the northern CAA schools they play in a pro market and get little support .
The last shot was about as good a chance as you could hope for but the other players didn’t try to rebound at all and he missed the shot. Pretty good matchup with Hofstra and I think they will play again in DC .
