#12 Women's Lax opens today at Sentara park against #2 UNC at 1PM.

This should be an interesting barometer for the team's performance this year. When we won the Natty we were able to finally top UNC in the season opener in overtime, the other years we just haven't been able to muster enough goals against them. Last year in the playoffs we played them very close to the end, hopefully better things to come.

We should have a more veteran and experienced team full of some great players who came in after the Natty year. Should be an exciting season!

Just tuned in. Down 10-5 after 3 quarters. Only saw UNC's goal right before the period ended. They are a very fast team.

UNC is always a great team. We always put up a fight but they usually go on a 4 or 5 goal run and take over games; not just against the Dukes, but most teams.

#21 Women have scored 8 goals on 11 shots against #14 UVa in CVille on Senior Day.

After UVa closed to a 10-8 deficit after 2 periods, JMU took a 13-8 advantage then held on to win 16-14.

After a rocky start to the season, the Dukes off of several Top 20 wins are currently leading #3 Maryland 9-6 in the middle of the 3rd.

Maryland is a team they have not been able to get past as their only loss in the Natty year was to the Terps and it wasn’t very close. Hopefully they can finish this game with a W but very encouraging for a younger squad like this one take on the Terps.

11-7 Dukes w/ 11:17 left in the 4th.

Amazing win! Here's hoping this team is able to make another run

This team has a bright future. Bella Peterson with another phenomenal performance as a sophomore, she might be Kristen Gaudian good or better by her senior year.

Dougherty is going to be a very tough piece to replace in goal but this leaves me very hopeful for the future with most of this roster returning next year, plus there have been some very good recruits who haven’t cracked the lineup yet.

Last 3 games are wins against #19, #14 & #3 teams. Well done ladies!

The future is bright for this team. And maybe very near future the way they have turned things around. Sure wish we could get VA Tech again for a do over. That loss haunts me.

Only team to have beaten UConn this year as well. They are ranked 15 or so I believe.

Ladies defeated Towson 14-8.
