RE: Middle Tennessee
Yesterday's game was such a great showcase of UAB basketball. Our rivals from Middle Tennessee brought the attitude, our team and fans brought the winning response. I've always enjoyed the Bartow Classic so much because of the many basketball alumni who come back and get honored at halftime. It was a great showcase of Blazer basketball and with the crowd energy, team play, and historical 42 points from Jelly sent it over the top. Probably the most fun since winning the CUSA Championship. We knew Andy Kennedy coming home had the potential to be something special. Its safe to say we're off and running that direction!

Could’ve missed it earlier. Anyone notice Leblanc not being there? Even crazier that we beat such a good team without him. Allowed Rongie to shine.

Hope we see him again… With Trey and KJ’s propensity for getting in foul trouble, he is definitely missed. Good to see Rongie step-up like he did on Saturday. Got to have more of that down the stretch.

RE: Middle Tennessee
Rongie looked really good IMO. I thought last year he looked good on the offensive end, but got schooled on defense. On Saturday, that definitely did not seem to be the case. He had a couple of nice blocks and defensive rotations. He is a very quick leaper, and doesn't require the 2-3 set up dribbles that Jemison needs to get a shot up at the rim. He gathers it and puts it up quickly and decisively. He's athletic and seems to have a good feel for the game. He didn't appear lost or in above his head by any means. I think he needs some spot minutes in our big man rotation, regardless if LeBlanc is healthy.

Buffen is emotional and extremely prone to dumb fouls. Jemison is prone to fouls. LeBlanc is absolutely devoid of any offense outside of dunks. Rongie could fill a role for us off the bench with spot minutes and help keep the main guys fresh.

RE: Middle Tennessee
Sure would love to see this team get over the inconsistency because it is *really* good when things are rolling.

We are good enough to go to 2nd weekend of ncaas with a chance to go even farther, but inconsistent enough to finish third in CUSA west and/or lose in the first round of conference tournament. The team playing pick-and-roll defense at Marshall and Rice wouldn’t beat any decent team. The team that beat MTSU on Saturday and won at La Tech could beat half the top 25.

Jelly playing at an elite level makes us incredibly dangerous. The last month he has been as good as any player I have seen at UAB. But you gotta have everyone else playing defense and hitting some shots for the inevitable off shooting day. Need to keep Ertel’s legs fresh and the bigs have to finish better at the rim.

Question: I’m really curious. This was the first Basketball game that I’ve been to in years. It was fun and will go again. I realize attendance is lower than when I use to go on a regular basis. I believe one reason is parking. The parking lots we use to park in are blocked out are gone. Don’t complain about attendance when you can’t park. It’s kind of like good luck

Can't disagree with anything you've said. The top level this team has is REALLY good. When playing laissez faire, checked out, inconsistent basketball, we can lose to ANYONE. The inconsistency is maddening. If we played at even 80-90% of our peak best every game, we could be undefeated. That's how good this team can be. I hope they realize it and snap out of the inconsistency.

This seems weak. I park on 15th street every game and haven't had trouble finding a spot. There's tons of parking within 2-3 blocks of Bartow, and it's not even difficult to find.

+1. I always park near or across the street from BWW & there’s typically plenty of parking.

There is a parking deck next to the baseball field - University and 12th Street S. It’s $5 if the attendant is there. You never have to drive higher than the 2nd floor to find a parking space. Walk out the door, cross the pedestrian bridge over University, and you are there!

I've never heard anyone complain about parking. I park near McDonalds on the street, and have for years. I might as well have my own reserved spot.. it is always there. Its 2-3 minute walk to the area. I walked further at LaTech and WKU than I ever have at UAB, and it still wasn't far.
But, I think you can add-on a parking option to season tickets.
