Not to be overeacting or anything, but we desperately need a dominating win. I know we just won 12 in a row but I haven't felt comfortable with any one of them, one where we led wire to wire.

RE: @William and Mary - GAME 20 - CAA GAME 11
The Tribe has a pretty deep bench and depending on the opponent has nine different players who can contribute.

CAA play

C. Kochera 6'5" 200lb. So. 12 ppg., 41%FG, 32% from three(32-100), 4.8Reb, 32 min
B Wight 6'9" 205lb. So. 12ppg, 62.5%FG, 5.9 Reb, 25.1 min.
Y Covington 6'1" 192lb So. 8.1 ppg, 53.2%FG, 31.2% from three(24-77), 3.4Reb, 26.3 min.
B Carrol 6'7" 210lb.Grad 7.8ppg, 38.5%FG, 25.8% from three(17-66), 4.7Reb, 31 blks, 23min.
T Rice 6'1" 178lb. Fr 6.9ppg, 31.2%FG, 27.2% from three(25-92), 75 assts, 71TO,s, 26.5min
J Lewis 6'6" 200lb Fr 6.7ppg, 33.5%FG, 27.3% from three(21-77), 63TO's, 51 assts, 26.4min
L Hatton 6'10" 230lb. Fr 5.5ppg, 47.4%FG, 3.4Reb, 26.4 min
J Milkereit 6'5" 200lb So. 2.7ppg, 36.8%FG, 38.5% from three(10-26), 13 min.

When you look at this roster three things stand out. The Tribe has all kinds of size, the team is very young, and they don't have any outstanding scorers.

#7 scoring at 70ppg
#7 defense allowing 75.7ppg
#10 FT 70.7%
#10 FG 42.5%
#2 Off Reb
#5 Reb margin
#4 Steals(ahead of UNCW)
#9 TO margin

UNCW is loaded with uppperclassmen and we create turnovers. Our press should be able to rattle a team of young guys once we get rolling. The Hawks will come out with a vengance as they regroup from a game in which they were out of sync on offense and defense and we get back to the drive.

Hawks' roll 77-65

I hope you’re right 82. We need a victory.

Our problem is that this particular team has had offensive issues and some defensive issues too but still found a way to win. Hopefully the Hawks get points off turnovers and roll. Conversely, if the Tribe protects the ball and executes, it will be a contest.

Never underestimate the Tribe in Williamsburg. They have good players that can hurt the Hawks. I’m hoping for better play win or lose.

RE: @William and Mary - GAME 20 - CAA GAME 11
It just hit me, we need Tra White to be Tra "freaking" White come Saturday night. We need him to be the Dennis Rodman that he can be period end of story. That is the missing piece right now to put us over the top because right now we don't have a lot of room for error but he can greatly expand that or whoever plays the 4 spot-need boards period and extra chances. Yes, we have the other guys that can do their thing but he can give extra possessions and score as well when he plays hard with hair on fire getting caroms at a high rate.

We also need Harvey to be the Harvey we know. He needs to embrace being a marksman and to attack offensively when given his chance. Don't back down my man, you can absolutely kill people with that J/improved drive game and good D.

It would be great to have a fired up Amari Kelly out there coming off the bench right now! He was absolutely awesome when fired up rejecting people. We need the big fella blocking shots, setting great screens and rolling hard making a living tipping in stuff and/or collecting and going up strong! Hawks need a big post look going forward and Kelly is a key piece as he must defend, rebound and pose a problem as he has proven that he can do. We need him going forward without question.

The regulars need to do their thing with no regrets or remorse. Step into shots (foot work always key) with confidence and expect it to go down. You've put in the freaking work, now play with your hearts. Need this one!

Just keep playing from the opening tap and have fun playing Seahawk ball as taught by this staff-need 40 minutes like that. Let the chips fall where they fall. If you do that, good things will happen on both ends eventually win or lose. Go Hawks!!

Hard to believe how long it has been since UNCW won at William & Mary. Hopefully the tide can turn today.

Pretty sure we lost by 13 that day if you look at schedule. Last time was 2012.

You're right. They didn't put an L or W in front of that score.

Looks like the last time we won at Bill and Mary's house was Jan of 2012. Buzz was our coach.

Makes sense. Even during the Keatts years WM had some decent teams. Shaver had that one kid with dreads for several years that could flat out score the ball at will. Then he loaded up a solid defensive team that reminded me of our 2006 championship team. I remember they gave us a lot of problems in the half court, and they had the ball handlers to deal with our press.

Should be a good game today though, let’s hope the Hawks come out on top. I don’t know much about this WM team, and I’m hoping they don’t have much in the way of quality ball handlers to deal with our pressure and propensity to force bad offensive teams to turn the ball over.

I think this is the game we finally beat them in Kaplan Arena, and beat them soundly.

Shaver coached defensive teams similar to Brownell. I still think WM made a giant mistake firing him.
