Is the recruiting information any good? Rivals is kept up to date, but 247 has a quarter of our commits and puts our head football coach as Mark Byington....



Honestly, if this were a good source of news, I'd sign up for it with or without message board use, but it doesn't seem like one.

If you really love it JMU13, keep using it. If it's superior, things will eventually get moved over. I suggest you post the things you find that are interesting on 247 over here and get more people engaged. Not that it should be your job, but if you want it changed, do it. This is what me, hburg, and dukes09 did for so long to get ppl off the CAAZone, which was hot garbage at best. Even then, it took a long outage to get people convinced.

Right now, this board has many of our peers, check the conference talk, they are here, even if it's not their main board. Also echo that gts provides excellent support for our fanbase.

Seriously, I like it here too, and soon enuf ODU, Marshall and SoMiss will join the presence on this board already populated by other SBC fans.

Again, if it ain’t broke it doesn’t need to be fixed. And posters on this board have a better handle on possible recruits and inside JMU news than 247.

The suggestion JMU fans somehow need to show up on 247 to wave the purple and gold flag is a bit silly. Go for it if you want to shell out $40 for something you get for free here. Besides, many P5s have their own sites, and with the move JMU will now be on ESPN+ …I can’t see how JMU’s online presence would be enhanced by moving to 247.

Also, I think we need to organize/clarify other threads due to the transfer portal. Thinks like:
- HS Football Recruits for Fall 2022
- Possible Football Transfers to JMU for Fall 2022
- Possible Football Transfers Leaving JMU

etc.

(Then do the same for the other sports.)

We had confusion with the two separate transfer threads and we have some threads that risk becoming very long - especially now that we will be more competitive for higher profile players.

I would also say that once we have our 2022 Football Schedule locked in, the current Future Schedule thread gets archived and we start a new one.

I agree on all that, at least a separate HS recruits and portal recruits/exits thread would be nice.

This board has all kinds of scoops for JMU athletics. There is no upside for moving to a new board.
All the new fans who are now interested because JMU will be playing big boy football can add on to this site’s banter.
