MyBB Next dominoes (February 3 basketball edition)
The newest rumor is NC A&T and Howard to the CAA. With that in mind, I'll use that and continue the dominoes.

The MAAC is down to 10 schools but their commissioner has mentioned going to 12. I think they strike by grabbing Wagner and Bryant.

The Horizon responds to departure of UIC with the addition of Bellarmine.

The America East is down to 8 schools and adds 2: Merrimack and LIU.

The Big South decides to get back to 12 by adding NC Central and SC State.

The NEC is down to six schools and expands by adding New Haven (D2), Delaware State, Norfolk State, and Morgan State to get back to 10.

The Southland is down to eight schools and expands by adding West Texas A&M (D2) and Chicago State to get to 10.

The OVC is at eight schools. They expand to 11 by adding S. Indiana, Coppin State and UMES.

The MEAC is no more.

amazing that all of these are either directly or indirectly related to Texas/Oklahoma going to the SEC.

Much of this is attributable to Oklahoma and Texas leaving the XII for the SEC. However, some of this stems back to Loyola - Chicago (unrelated to the other line of realignment) jumping from the MVC to the A10.

Not sure I believe the rumor that the OVC is not interested in Chicago State. They sure make a lot more sense for the OVC than for the Southland.

so just going off of this list- the only one I think on there that wouldn't be related to it is Bellarmine.

Switch Mount St. Mary's for Bryant, move Norfolk State to the Big South, Remove Merrimack from AEC and add RIT (D3 waiver, since with the right lawyers and enough $$, you can make this happen), add Bentley (D2) to the NEC, and Chicago St. Is forced to drop out of D1 due to falling enrollment and an insolvent athletic department.

The OVC is down to six football schools, assuming Murray State doesn't leave. Why would they add two MEAC schools that don't sponsor football. Is it because they picked up Little Rock which doesn't sponsor football, and are looking at Southern Indiana that does not sponsor football. Why wouldn't they go all in and grab Chicago State, which doesn't sponsor football? Chicago State might hope the ASUN rebrands as TRAA and grabs them.

Any OVC school that is not looking for a new home should fire their president and AD.

If West Texas A&M did move up they would surely pick the WAC, as would Angelo State. At some time, TAMU-CC may decide to switch. And let's so ahead and add TAMU-SA.

The Southland takes SE Missouri and Tennessee Martin and Little Rock. Maybe they can coax Central Arkansas back.

The Summit takes Eastern Illinois and SIUE for their soccer programs, and for letting Eastern Illinois and Murray State into the MVFC.

The ASUN completes their football project by taking Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech. Morehead State comes along for the ride.

If you are poaching from the NEC happens, they merge with the MEAC, but SC State and NC Central look elsewhere.

The Summit, MVC, MAC, Horizon, B1G, Big East, A 10, WAC, Big Sky, and NEC set up a rotation where they take Chicago State one year out every 10. You may scoff at B1G, Big East, and A 10, but Chicago State would be the perfect travel partner for Northwestern, DePaul, and Loyola(Chicago).

Loyola - Chicago from MVC > A-10
UIC from Horizon > MVC (missing from this list)
Bellarmine from ASUN > Horizon

Then it gets murky as to what ASUN moves attribute to Loyola - Chicago vs Oklahoma/Texas. I jumped the gun after thinking about it.

Amazingly great. And how many more dominoes will fall if Big Ten or PAC decided to expand too.

Are conferences allowed to fold? Especially one like MEAC? It would be great but I just can't buy it.

Have you seen some of his other posts? They’re absolutely insane and detached from reality, yet he types up gobs of paragraphs as if he’s some expert.
