SBC East Games
1) Play ODU as a season ending game every year
2) The years we don't play ODU at home, we play App State at home.
3) Alternate the years we play the two Georgia teams on the road. That way, we get exposure down there every year
4) By default, either Marshall and Coastal will be coming to Bridgeforth every year

As far as the Sun Belt West, anyone know how they've rotated those crossover games in the past?

My guess is that both Georgia teams will feel similarly about the Virginia teams.

I think it behooves all four schools to work out an arrangement where they're always visiting the opposite state every season. It's mutually beneficial from a recruiting standpoint to have exposure in the footprint every year.

That certainly makes sense to me, but not sure if it's that simple.
To me, it would make sense to put Marshall/ODU together, App/Coastal together, and GA teams together. That way it's equal amount of travel every year.
The original pairing you listed is based on prior history and interest, but doesn't account for what may happen in the future. Marshall could end up being our biggest rival... we don't know. Pairing the teams by travel seems to make a little more sense, but that's my take. And even then it probably doesn't work out perfectly due to each team having different pairs of teams.

App too but I expect that one to grow even more, especially in how much App hates/cares about us. Tons of potential for Marshall and Coastal, maybe a bit less for the Georgia schools but it’s not like they’re Towson either lol

Overall if we’re good then hatred will build all over the place. Look at how much everyone lists App State as one of the top rivals/potential rivals. Look at the SBC board and it’s obvious how much Louisiana and Coastal hate each other, I doubt anyone was pointing that out as a great future rivalry when Coastal joined. Just win and this conference is full of good fanbases that will build rivalries with each other.

Yeah I completely agree. The most obvious rivalries are with App State and ODU.
As for the others, all it takes is one game... one moment and all of a sudden there's a rivalry. For all we know we could end up having the biggest rivalry with a Sun Belt school we don't have a lot of history or no history.
I'm excited to play the western schools like:
Louisiana- Really strong program with a very passionate fan base.
Troy- I remember when they were good in the FCS.
Texas State- the battle of which school regrets Withers more.
So. Miss- Have a really strong history and am sure they will be better quickly.
USA- the school that tried to steal Mickey from us.
Arkansas State- I honestly don't know a lot about them, but they seem to have a really strong fan base.
ULM- okay, I got nothing here.

I thought of this as well, I wanted to come up with tieing the Robertson's and Duck Dynasty to football and JMU. Seems like there was an episode with them playing flag football.

I think I'm most excited about USA out of the west. I know they haven't been great as of late, but their admin has bought into football and their stadium is very legit. I think they are in position to be successful over the next decade. Their facilities showed really well this past weekend during the Senior Bowl. Plus, staying in Orange Beach for a long weekend and watching the Dukes play sounds okay.

Phil (starting QB at LA Tech) and Si (HS) also part of the Robertson football dynasty.
