Elon had a game plan to win and we didn't have an answer.

This was arguably a must-win game for the road trip. Now we have to travel to W&M and then Hofstra, 2 very tough games regardless

This is why the coaches shouldn’t allow our guys to go out there and just try to shoot threes to start a game. We allowed them to stay in the game by not playing the style of basketball we have been. Instead we went out there and tried to be the better jump shooting team.

Time to regroup and beat W&M on Saturday.

Ok. The streak wasn't going to last forever. Move on. Don't mind losing, but we have to have a plan against a team that just pounds us in the post.

Points in the paint for Elon- 44. We have got to learn to play zone or do something different. Elon shot 59% for the game and 75% in the second half. That cannot happen, ever. No gameplan whatsoever to make it more difficult for them.

Regroup. Refocus. Don’t get too down. Beat the shite out of the Tribe.

Not disappointed we lost, but disappointed in the way we lost. We have got to be better. Sat is a must win as Hofstra will be a really really tough game

Burford killed us by himself. That is all that I have. If we see them in tournament, need a plan for him somehow.

That was not fun.

They packed it in and took their chances plus mixed in zone. Hawks can’t be afraid of 3 ball if it’s a great look in rhythm but not settle. Hawks were 9-30 from deep which isn’t that bad but it wasn’t there today overall . Harvey didn’t seem to get into the mix/ rolling . He’s a good marksman so that would seem to be a future option against them.

Hawks lost game on defensive end today. That were able to dribble drive without our normal defensive physicality.

Given how that game progressed it would have been interesting to see how they handled a zone look at times or a more paint protection scheme . Hunter Mac benefited from Burford at the end. Not sure why Burford doesn’t just dominate CAA scoring. Let’s see if he lights up C of C as well.

Towson won a big one over Hofstra tonight to improve to 8-2. Now they’re coming for us.

That’s okay Nation. Let’s beat them at home to earn things!

A loss is never a good thing, but I think if we rebound on Saturday, we will look back on this one down the road and realize that this is the one that took the pressure off. No one in this league was going to go 18-0. Win at William & Mary tomorrow (GOOD TEAMS HANDLE BUSINESS), see what happens at Hofstra and come back home for 4 games.

If this team is 10-2 at worst or maybe even 11-1 coming home for 4 straight at Trask for...

James Madison (lost two players for the year and Cacok's jersey retirement)
