Road wins arent easy and this is a tough trip (though Towson may get canceled or rescheduled). Good confidence builder to start the trip. Great effort after the dud against W&M

Yep, that was a fun weekend back in 2009, and my only live trip to their campus and the Convo Center. But that was for women's basketball. I don't believe that Drexel men won any games at the Convo Center after the 2011-2012 season. Oh, and that floor there, that looked like a giant puked all over it. Glad they didn't bring that floor over to the new arena. I will miss the pep band and their great fight song. I was singing along with it tonight, especially after the Drexel win.

CORRECTION: Drexel did win their final game at the Convo Center in the 19-20 season against a really bad JMU team. It was Drexel's only CAA road win that season.

And I really hope that Saturday's game doesn't get postponed due to the floor situation. They can't really move the game to Drexel since we're expecting snow on Saturday. in Philadelphia. Towson will just need to get it fixed for find another place to play. They have 2 days to rectify it.

Was kind of a bold strategy to come out the same way we did against WM with a barrage from deep. Thankfully we shoot really well in that building (perhaps we can project the shooting backdrop down there at the DAC) and we were able to grab the lead early to withstand some sloppiness in the minute bookends of halftime. Liked how they came out in the second half and went more to the rim instead of hoping they stayed hot from deep. Really wish I could get a handle on this team. If anything comes out of the WM debacle, I hope that it's caused them to realize they need to bring it every game no matter what team they're facing. Last night seems like a good start.

RE: Game #17 @JMU
Yeah have to be happy with most of everything from last night (except turnovers against pressure and our normal poor defense). We came out and took what was there. In the first half it meant bombing away. 2nd half it meant attacking. I like that we showed just how versatile this team can be. 11 3's in the fist half. 1 in the 2nd. We scored more points in the 2nd half than the first. Playing like that truly makes us a tough team to beat. That is why many of us are cautiously excited about this team because we can see the potential they have with all of this talent. Consistency is obviously killing us.

Amari had another coming out party last night. Not sure I have ever seen someone take such a massive step forward in a single season, yet alone in a matter of weeks. He is so fun to watch. And it is amazing how quickly the league is giving him respect when he is in the game. Teams are afraid to get anywhere near the basket. Its awesome. He blocked 4 shots, but I bet he altered another 5 last night. If we can force teams to get hot from 3 to beat us, I like our chances against anyone in this conference.

UNCW will be an interesting test. They put a lot of pressure on you, which hasn't boded well for us, however they rely quite a bit on getting to the basket. I will be watching to see how Amari's presence effects their normal game plan. He should be able to dominate that squad in the same way he did JMU last night. To me JMU and UNCW are nearly identical teams. I think UNCW is better poised, JMU is better athletically, but style-wise they mirror each other. Also curious to see what Hofstra does against them tomorrow. It will set the stage for who is the top team. UNCW has a real chance tomorrow to put space between them and everyone else.
