If you didn’t have the chance to work with him you missed out. Everything that UAB is as a football program and as a university was in his head from the first day of club practice.

He (coach Hilyer) was a excellent coach who deserved the chance to lead UAB to the next level but he was replaced by Watson instead

Sad to hear this news... he advanced us thru the 'lower levels', and got us in good shape to jump to Division I - and should have been given a shot at that level as well.
