Article on JMU Sports about the class for next fall. Four players coming in 3 of them 6'-2" and a 5' 6" point guard. Welcome to Harrisonburg and the Dukes!!
Anyone know anything about our future Dukes?

Maybe shouldn’t read into this too much but three of the four recruits don’t even average double figure points per game for their high school teams?

Not really. Two of them average double digits in points, but there are some good rebound numbers. It could also be that they weren't the stars of their high school teams, but they fit as a really good 2nd or 3rd option.

RE: WBB signees 2022/2023
I was interested in the rebounding numbers as the Dukes will likely have to replace Jailyn's efforts next season. I am assuming she will graduate this spring and not return. I am so confused about the extra time for Covid etc so I do not know who is coming and going these days!!

Any indication of what schools we may have beaten out for our recruits? Looked around about a month ago, but really couldn't find much on them from a recruiting standpoint.

Unless they’re coming from extremely loaded and/or deep programs id think it is alarming if they’re not the primary option and hitting double figures. Roughly 1.3% of the girls playing high school ball go on to play D1, unless they have a teammate going to UConn should we really be chasing a 2nd or even 3rd option on a high school team?

Two are post players, and one of those averages a double-double. The other is close. Another is a 3. The PG averages 17. What are you people complaining about? The name of the game today is defense, rebound, and run. Not just chuck it up and score. And now that we have Neff and Goodman on track and hopefully Kozlova coming along, we should have the luxury of developing these kids properly without rushing them. Post players usually a little slower to develop than the smaller, quicker guards. Some of them, at 18, are still be growing into their bodies. Please get a grip.

First, your condescending tone is a constant annoyance. Not a single person on this forum is advocating for “just chuck it up.” We all know you love the wbb team and love to act as if you’re on a first-name basis with them all. That said: JMU women’s basketball has made 4 NCAA sweet sixteen rounds, 6 NCAA round of 32 (last one in 2014), 12 NCAA tourn appearances (last in 2016), 9 or so conference tourney champions (last in 2016). Bottom line: those of us who have rooted for this program for many years or even decades expects a team competitive on the national stage and vying for conference championships and NCAA tourney wins. You don’t have to like it, but that is a fact. You have derided the long-time fans before and accused folks of living in the past, but we were at these games and supporting this program a long time ago. We know its potential and actually expect it. To question the level of recruit, what other teams are offering, and how our recruits stack up is a valid question. You don’t have to like it, but that’s a good question for someone on this forum to query.

RE: WBB signees 2022/2023
I’m used to seeing our recruits in the ESPN Top 100 and competing against high caliber mid major teams (sometimes high level teams). Does anyone have a list of these commits other offers? I’m legitimately asking, not a sarcastic question at all.

RE: WBB signees 2022/2023
Parity is a thing now. You need to get used to it, whether you like it or not. There are other mid-major programs which have gotten as big as JMU and that's just a fact. These kids have a smorgasbord to pick from. Some of them may even have gotten offers from P5 teams. "Back in the day", Buffalo (just to name one) was a nonentity. So was Stony Brook. Now that's not the case.

Just shut up and settle for less guys. It’s ONLY JMU, it’s not like we’re even a REAL POWER PROGRAM.

Well, aren't WE snotty! Someone pee in your Cheerios? All I pointed out was that there are many more programs for the young ladies to choose from than there used to be, and you get all up in my face about it? Maybe you need to examine the situation for yourself.

So, back on topic( if allowed.)Who else has offered these recruits? Where do they rank in their recruiting class? Those who root want to know.

It's a perfectly logical and valid question to ask.

Yes, any school can potentially get a diamond in the rough and make that under-recruited prospect a good player. But building a whole lineup that way would be extraordinary.
Odds are VERY stacked against you if you're building a lineup with players that your peers (and higher) are not recruiting. We simply are not that much smarter than our opponents. And that is precisely why those that are asking would like to know our recruits' relative ratings and who else of note was recruiting them.

I guess you'd have to check their pages. https://wbbblog.com is a good place to start. You can also look them up on social media. Check their personal sites on Twitter or TikTok if you have those. Or just google them with "wbb" attached. That's what I usually do.

Last time I looked Liberty was in the ASUN. At least for basketball. I don't follow their football program. In fact, I have as little to do with Liberty as possible.

Are insults necessary?
