What does sandwich mean? Nobody in Row F section 108 seems to know...

We get a sandwich if the free throw is missed?

Apparently it was a promotion (I think for Potbelly) where the opposing player has to miss both free throws.

Pretty sure whoever pays for the free throw promotion gets to have whatever word they want put up there and Potbelly chose...Sandwich. I agree it makes no sense. Took me 3 games to figure out what it was even related to. Agree it's very confusing.

At the last women's game I saw the promotion and I think I saw an explanation on the board during one of the timeouts.....or maybe I just dreamed it. Yes, the promotion is that if the opposing team misses both free throws everyone gets a sandwich. Who knows or cares why that word was picked...I would just be very happy with a free sandwich from Potbelly!!

If an opponent misses both free throws in the second half you get buy one get one free at Potbelly. They hand out little cards as you leave, got them from the Northeastern(if I remember right) game.

Well, I guess they are staying on brand.
Their commercials are just saying "Potbelly" over and over and over again.
