RE: Alex Lomax....
Why does he feel the need to leave his feet to pass constantly? He’s not the only one on the team that does this, but he’s a senior and should know better.

Not being funny here but I am sure it's because he can't see the floor at his height, you are right bad habit for all of them but poor fundamentals are one of our biggest issues. One handed passes, poor dribbling skills, jumping to pass, driving before the screen is set causing moving pick calls, rebound with one hand, don't box out, jump at every head fake, play D too high on one side giving driving lanes, tons of small crap that would help us.

His job is to get into the lane. Once he gets into the lane, 1 out of the other 4 players should be able to get open. What is he supposed to do? Get into the lane and zig zag back out to the perimeter? It is no different from when we were playing well with and without DW. When we were playing poorly, he had no assists and was playing like ****. When we were playing well, both DW and Lomax play well, and the team plays great.

Anything said by a commentator during our games becomes the topic of convo on MTO. It's hilarious. Every time.

Too bad we don't get any positive spins from ESPN. Then we might have a pleasant convo every now and then.

Don’t lose the dribble until someone is open. The other night he caught a pass coming down the baseline. He immediately left his feet and just threw it into traffic. Thankfully a teammate won the battle for it. First off they shouldn’t have thrown him the ball there but instead of leaving his feet he should have dribble it out.

RE: Alex Lomax....
Would be rather interesting to see DW as the point. LQ, LN, ET or EB bring the ball downcourt and then pass to DW at the top of the key. DW surveys the situation and goes from there. He could not penetrate but he could perhaps "initiate" to cutters and "pass over" his defender. A rather absurd option, true, but we have no top-notch PG.

ZachMan listed (and accurately so) ALo's flaws a few posts previous. It's frustrating. Lomax seems like a fine young man who cares about the program. I sincerely thought he would be rather good this year. Statistically (just checked), he doesn't look bad on paper. But it's the little things that don't show in the box score and that he often fails to do (or does poorly). Maybe Lomax will "get in" here at the end of this season and be better. I hope so for his sake and for the good of the team.

Until you show you can actually shoot and are willing to shoot, why guard a player from out there.... especially if they're actually *scared* to shoot 03-lmfao

Funny but depicts Memphis offense perfectly: 03-shhhh
