WAC Achieving New Heights
The WAC moved into 15th place on the KenPom.Com ratings. This is higher than the WAC has ever been since GCU joined in 2014. Having six quality teams at the top of the WAC (SU, SHSU, NMSU, GCU, UVU. SFA) and three other teams lurking around the top (ACU, TSU, CBU) seems to be a positive for the KenPom statisticians.

Conference (Rating)
#1 Big-12 (+18.14)

#7 MWC (+7.82)
#8 AAC (+7.32)
#9 WCC (+6.36)
#10 Atlantic (+4.24)
#11 MVC (+4.14)
#12 CUSA (-0.17)
#13 Southern (-0.66)
#14 CAA (-2.32)
#15 WAC (-2.34)
#16 Sun Belt (-2.46)
#17 Ivy (-3.07)
#18 Big West (-3.15)
#19 Mid=American (-3.18)
#20 MAAC (-3.73)
#21 ASUN (-5.82)
#22 Summit (-5.99)
#23 Big Sky (-6.14)
#24 Horizon (-7.10)

#30 Southland (-13.16)

Where is Nostradamus, I mean Todor, when these rankings are shown? He told us, and told, and told, and told, that the new WAC could never rank as high as what WAC 2.0 achieved a few years ago. He promised the WAC could never get there in year 1 or subsequent years, for that matter.

When did I say any of that? Got a post to reference or something, because right now I think you're just making things up (again).

Let me know when you find it.

People were excited about the new WAC and there was talk about a 2 bid league. You said over and over that the new WAC would never rank as high as the peak of WAC 2.0. I'm not going to look for quotes. You know what you said, I know what you said and the regular board member know what you said. Have some humility and admit when you are wrong.

What you do is point out one thing in a post that isn't exactly what you wrote and try to make it seem like you never said something. Unless you think you are right. Then you point out all the little things that make you look right.

You're a nice enough guy most of the time. I don't think you're lying, just that you took a basic topic we discussed and morphed it into something beyond what was stated and have changed it into an inaccurate statement you now want to attribute to me. But if you find that post, be sure to let me know and I'll gladly admit I'm wrong if what I said is now incorrect.

Until then, either find it or shut the bell up.

"The highest the WAC reached recently was 15. With 2 other conference champs joining plus SFA, I don't see us reaching that level next year. And those aren't stable programs joining. They'll level off. Or bottom out."

You said a lot more than this in other posts. I'm not going to look them all up. Your 3 main "theories" have been:

1. The TX for joined knowing they were never going to stay in the WAC long term.
- You are claiming victory on this even though some crazy dominoes fell to get SHSU to leave. Doesn't make you right. Never mind that SHSU will leave but the WAC is actually gaining 2 more TX schools. The TX membership is actually growing. Like David Street predicting 3,781 things and one coming true doesn't make him right.

2. The WAC was not going FBS.
- This may also prove true, but not based on your theory. Your theory was that the WAC FCS schools were not able to make the move (budgets, fan apathy, attendance, etc.). With NMSU and SHSU leaving, that again is two huge dominoes. Them 2, along with Tarleton, would have been the ones to usher in FBS (if FBS was indeed the goal). With the move to CUSA, I would say the WAC's FBS hopes have been dashed.

3. WAC 3.0 would never reach the heights of WAC 2.0.
- In it's first year, WAC 3.0 has already matched the highest point WAC 2.0 ever achieved.

Actually WAC 3.0 has already surpassed any WAC 2.0 year in terms of ranking. In 2019 WAC 2.0 had a lower score (-1.11) than the current WAC 3.0 has but were ranked 17th.

Here are the results for WAC 2.0 (2014 to 2020)

WAC 2.0
2014 - 22nd (-6.24)
2015 - 31st (-10.26)
2016 - 24th (-7.50)
2017 - 17th (-2.89)
2018 - 18th (-3.13)
2019 - 17th (-1.11) - Four 20 win teams (NMSU, UVU, GCU, UTRGV)
2020 - 24th (-6.64)
2021 - 23rd (-7.14)

WAC 3.0
2022 - 15th (-2.33)

Must have been in one of those "other" posts you can't find. Because you weren't looking...but while you "weren't looking" you found something along those lines, but not quite, and not nearly as dramtic, and instead of "promising something would never happen" I merely stated that I doubted it happen would this year. It might be the same thing to you, but it's still not.

I'm not going to lie and say I said more than I did, or something different than I said. But knowing you were wasting your time digging thru my old posts from nearly a year ago to try and "catch me" does bring a smile to my face. A big smile. You were replying every 5 minutes, then a 2 hour plus gap. Gosh, I hope you didn't spend very much of that time just trying to prove lil ole me wrong! Why, that would almost be desperate.

Keep up the good work, and keep your nose to that ole grindstone. Those posts are out there somewhere and given enough time I'm sure you'll come up one that still doesn't have me saying what you want to attribute to me. Thanks for playing and nice try.
