I wish nothing but the best to the teams still in C-USA after this year. I will miss being in a conference with you all. I think the Sunbelt just fits Marshall perfectly. My biggest problems with C-USA were the leadership and teams that won't be named but will not be in C-USA after everything is said and done.

I have a feeling Liberty, NMSU, SHSU, and Jax State will soon understand exactly what you're talking about.

Even as an SBC fan on the outside looking in, the CUSA leadership was so bad from a public perception. One of the worst managed conferences I've ever seen.

If what the SEC does comes to fruition, it wouldn't matter what any of the Gang of 5 conferences do. We would never be allowed to compete in the same subdivision as that conference ever again.

Nothing sums up C-USA Leadership more than this picture

Honestly though, the new schools are still in a better position than they were in. FBS>FCS, but they will learn how TX-centric this conference is and how that affects the eastern schools. We were done with C-USA after the 15ish years we've been in it. It's just been bad decision after bad decision (TV Deals, MaRkEtZ, etc.)

It wasn't just Judy though.. There's been some lackluster leadership for awhile.

That picture gave your school more money thanks to the league sponsor, who asked for it. Too many people, who are ignorant like you, enjoy gawking without having the facts.

Why? Because some people (mostly Belch scum) don't want context?

The toy company thought it would be a good photo op for them. Judy didn't have the foresight to understand the perception it may have.

Many data point would say she's not a great decision maker though.

If a male commish of the ACC did that, he'd appear in the next SEC shorts video.

I still don’t see how she actually favored Texas schools over the East. Other than Marshall butt hurt over the Rice thing. The problem with the East schools were that they were boring. Everyone but Marshall was taking a downturn and even Marshall wasn’t up to their normal performances. WKU FAU and MT were on a temporary downturn. Charlotte just always seemed to exist. ODU went a whole season without existing. Our headquarters are in Dallas so we had a lot of Frisco things going on but other than that it is no different than all the years UAB hosted the basketball tourney. Look we can blame this conference failures on her but I am not sure she has been dealt a fair hand. And it’s not her fault that a lot of CUSA teams just kept losing.

Then focus on her job instead of trying to degrade her for a photo op. So many people had it out for her from the beginning. The media deal she was able to scrap together was not bad considering mess the last AD made. And she didn’t create this wide spread unimaginative conference.

Boom.

It’s not just that she is in the keep. Her expression and body posture, etc. make her look pretty lame. Everyone sees that.

At the time maybe if she had owned up to it and poked fun at herself for it it might’ve helped. But she didn’t do that and so the perception is now engrained with folks.

The photo is symbol of her leadership and decision making at this point.

If this were a jeopardy category the answer would be "Areas Judy has improved":

The "Marshall thing" was not butthurt, it was an outright move to change the goal post. And for anybody that doesn't know what we're talking about, there are threads in the archives that pertain to this topic, Conference USA administration literally changing its own rules to favor one team over another.

And if it happened to your program, you best believe your fans would make a stink about it.

Also aligning the best P5 bowl opportunities in the west, giving the eastern team pitiful Bowl opportunities isn't favoring the Texas schools?

Making Frisco the home base of the basketball tournament the last few years isn't favoring the Texas schools?

I mean come on man, that's just a few examples.

If Conference USA really wanted to maintain neutrality, they should have moved the headquarters to Nashville all along. That is a much, much more natural geographic fit, but they made no intentions on trying to be neutral.

For alot of the same reasons people refer to Commissioner MacLeod as simply "Judy" but don't address the male league commissioners out there by a first name only basis.

Why do you think this?

I just don't think the SEC is done adding teams. That would inevitably cause more panic moves by the other leagues to swallow up the remaining Big 12 programs.
