Mid week lull NET Ranking Observations
Top WAC wins - GCU over 34 San Francisco and NMSU over 35 Davidson
Other fairly random observations from the NET someone may enjoy? I like playing with numbers...
Top team under .500, UC Irvine 4-5, 102
Bottom team over .500, South Dakota 8-7, 254
.500 teams, top Syracuse at 97, bottom NJIT at 288
Lowest teams from major conferences
Big 12 Kansas State 65 (No "easy" week in that conference. Geesh!)
ACC Pitt 188
Big 10 Nebraska 201
Pac 12 Oregon State 207
AAC South Florida 211
Big East Georgetown 212
SEC Georgia 230
The Great West Teams 2022
Utah Valley 107
South Dakota 254
UTRGV 265
NJIT 288
Chicago St 328
North Dakota 349
Houston Bap 352
Average NET 277
This would have put the Great West Conference at 29/33 conferences today, just behind the Horizon and Patriot, and ahead of the MEAC 278, Southland 280, Northeast 282, and the SWAC 292, for those that may enjoy historical what ifs.
Future what ifs:
New CUSA teams, 2022
NMSU 68
La Tech 81
Liberty 96
MTSU 124
Jax St 126
WKU 129
UTEP 176
SHS 232
FIU 251
Average 141
Current WAC Average 221

RE: Mid week lull NET Ranking Observations
I like the new CUSA basketball look. WKU and MTSU are always usually higher. Especially WKU, down year for them. UTEP should and could be way higher than that and hopefully Golding will get them there. SHSU seems to be improving as the year goes on so hopefully that trend continues, except tonight of course.
