The JR sucks and Konkol is a dork crowd is also one person by the way.

JR did suck in the first half, and that's when UAB got out to a sizeable lead and set the tone of the game. He didn't play defense, looked lazy, turned the ball over a ton, and missed a ton of freethrows. He was a nonfactor for a lot of the first half. He was very good in the second half, aided by refs not calling travels (the guy moves his body and both feet before putting the ball on the ground consistently) and calling soft fouls on UAB under the basket.

Konkol looks like he should be the coach of the algebra team, not the basketball team.

He is a really good CUSA level big man, but didn’t deliver in a big time game today IMO. At least not to the level that he’s hyped up to on this board…

Congrats on the win yesterday. Hopefully you continue to shoot 90 percent from the free throw line and 50 percent from 3 or you’re going to be eating a ton of crow.

Lol, none of what I said mentioned any of that. Salty?

You guys also shot 40% (making only two less than UAB), which is very solid, from three and had a guy go 7-10. You guys had THIRTY free throw attempts. Your big man dropped 24 and 12 on us. La Tech had a lot go right for them also.

Been a long time since we saw a team hit 3-pointers and FTs in the TAC like UAB did. UAB showed up to play! Very impressive.

That was really in reply to your “UAB without a doubt #1”… I was kindly reminding you without a statistic anomaly UAB probably loses by a couple of possessions. It’s basketball, if you get hot shooting you can win a lot of games.

You have a really good team also. I have thought all season you should be higher in the NET and kenpom rankings than you are.

I agree with you. My point is simply that UAB has beaten the #2 and #3 teams in conference, both on the road. That makes us #1 at the moment without a doubt. No slight to anyone else. UNT and La Tech are good teams.

Agreed, Walker has been on a tear lately, and not saying everything went perfect for UAB. I not intending it as a slight to UABs team in the slightest, was a good game between two of if not the top two teams in the conference. UAB deserved the win yesterday. I think as a team both gave their B+ game, a lot to cleanup and a lot of emotion as well, and UABs B+ was better than Techs. I also think Walker and AA played out of their minds from behind the arc and neither deserved to be on the losing in with how they carried their team through stretches.

It's one person on this board. He has tons of alters or like minded peers on other forms of social media who have echoed their agreement. Well except for the Konkol is a dork thing, that seems to be a take I've only seen from that poster.

No doubt about it. UAB has proven they are the best basketball team in the conference on the floor and on the road, where it counts. Everything else is just noise.

I am going to miss playing UAB in sports when they leave. It's a great rivalry that was heating up.

If that is the last time a Mean Green team faces a Monarch team, then best of luck in the Belt to you guys. Some of my fondest memories as a Mean Green student and fan happened in that conference. Hope you guys get the same experience.

ODU was a much better team in the second half. Maybe some of that was UNT figuring out how to adjust and play without Perry on the court. Perry seemed to be walking okay after the game. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

I hope ODU finds what they have been wanting in the Sun Belt. Unlike you, I was never a real big fan of our Sun Belt years (except the 4 straight conference titles). But the Belt was a home when we needed one. While I personally wouldn't want UNT to be any part of that conference again, I respect the Belt.

Good job UNT. You have a good team and are where ODU wants to be. As.a basketball guy, the Sun Belt doesn't really excite me that much, but I understand the move from a football perspective.

Most ODU basketball fans are a bit numb from this awful season. 3 awful seasons in a row and not much in the recruiting pipeline for next year. Needless to say, we want a change in direction.

Hope you guys get to the dance and make some noise.

I’m going to be very disappointed if our ad’s cannot at least work out a H&H basketball series for years to come. I understand there will be politics and hard feelings and all that crap, but we both need this series. Both of our ADs constantly say we can’t get good teams to play in our buildings, it needs to happen.

UTEP wins at UTSA today. Sweep but both games were a struggle.
