You guys gonna hate me saying this-just wondering if we had Bruce Pearl on the helm with the talents that we have, this team woud have been in discussion Sw16, E8 bound imo.
Bates has amazing shooting touch for a guys who is 6-9 and half the shots he made were either hurried and/or contested. If a good coach had setup some plays to isolate him or with a dribble drive offense and find him as an open man, he will do so much damage; Durren is another great talent with sweet jumper, we need to try set plays to feed him as much as we can and take further advantage in the paint; Minot- what can you say about him...he brings so much positive energy on thre floor is second to none and ability to slash the lane and create easy baskets is amazin to watch + the senior guys (Williams, Nolley, Lester). This team is loaded with talents that would be dream for any coach.
Moving forward, what I would want to see:
- Dandridge should NOT dribble or pass the ball
- Lester need to do a better job passing the ball and not to create TO & also learn not to create unnecessary fouls
- Hardaway shoukd NOT try to force a shot, PERIOD.
- Harris shoukd be our PG w/limited Bates to handle the ball
- when ALO is back, he MUST learn to minimize the TO and do not force a shot
- if a ball handler is in trouble, others need to help out
- Need to stay away from stagnant offense; we need to keep moving the ball (less dribbling more passing) and find the open man or designated guy for the play
- Bring back Memphis D' and take pride keeping other teams under 30% shooting
- Protect the perimiter
- AND MOST IMPORTANTLY-KEEP OWNING THE BOARDS!

If Bruce Pearl was so good why doesn't he have this talent at auburn?

What if we just made every shot we took? Would we be undefeated?

Or what if we had the grizl floor? How could we not be as good as them?

The only way I go to grizl games is when I sit in the suite. 4 Games over the years but not lately. It's the free beer I like the best.

We do have that talent...

On a side note, and I know I am in the minority here but I like Memphis' court lol. I also like the stripes you do in the endzone for football.
