Elon has a roster than looks similar to UNCW with size across the board. They average 69 ppg, just ahead of UNCW at #7 in the CAA and give up 75.3 ppg which is next to last in the CAA. They are #1 in the CAA in 3pt% at 36.6% and also have the most attempts in the CAA besides Hofstra. 46% of their FG attempts are from three.
They have more TO's than their opponents, fewer steals, and have been outrebounded. They shoot far fewer FT's but hit almost 75% of their attempts. They have almost half as many blocks as their opponents.
This game pits a team that played like UNCW was playing on offense...and losing... in Elon, against a UNCW team that has moved away from shooting over 40% of their shots from three and are attacking the rim. UNCW has a far better defense and rebounds far better than Elon. We should be able to attack the rim, draw fouls, and get out on the break off defensive rebounds. It will all depend on how we defend the three.
UNCW - 74
Not the Musk - 67
