Not a big Woodford's guy. I've had it. I like it. Wouldn't turn it down, but it's not one I'd hunt for. Same with Blanton's. Had it. It was ok. Right now the price is so inflated here I wouldn't pay for it.

If you come across it though, I recommend Firestone and Robertson Distillery's TX Straight Texas Bourbon. It's wheated. It's about 90 proof. Smooth. Crazy thing was when I drank it straight, it was that familiar bourbon taste with a little burn.. Over ice, it made it real sweet and no burn. Definitely dangerous.

Cool thing about it was it's made with a yeast made with pecans.

I'll be interested in knowing how the tasting of the Baccarat goes though.

I follow a couple of the better liquor stores in Nashville and received a notification on Instagram that one of them had Weller, Eagle Rare, Sazerac Rye, Buffalo Trace and Blanton's, so I immediately headed that way and got lucky. They had limits on some of them, but I was able to get two bottles of Weller. I also picked more Mitcher's Sour Mash, Buffalo Trace, Sazerac Rye and Bulleit.

How much was Buffalo Trace? Here when I find it, they're charging like $50-$60.

RE: OT: What's Everyone Drinking?
Had a couple of glasses of Blanton's Saturday night. It was ok, my brother thinks it's amazing. I like to have a glass (or 2) of Basil Hayden when I am in the office after hours. My expensive choice is Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select. Poured a client a glass with a BIG cube and he said it's like liquid heroin...hard to argue against his thesis.

Blantons is single barrel which means your odds of getting the same one are slim. Should taste a little different everytime.

Not the biggest Blantons fan, either.

Im now searching for the cheap good tasting bourbon. The allocation game is too much trouble for the limited rewards.

In the $20-$40 range, there are good options.. I usually drink my bourbon over ice.

Four Roses Yellow Label
Four Roses Small Batch-- One of the smoothest bourbons I've ever had. Think I paid under $40 for the bottle I have.
Elijah Craig-- About $35 or cheaper pending on where you live
Knob Creek Small Batch- Under $40 pending on your location
Wild Turkey Longbranch
**Buffalo Trace-- If you can find it for reasonable. I used to buy it for $25/bottle. It's good but not $50/bottle good.
Forgot to add Maker's 46

These are ones I have in my cabinet at home or have had in the past. Most of these you can find easily in any liquor store.

That's on my list. Right now I have a ton of bourbon and when I knock off a couple of bottles I'm going to give'er the ol' college try.
