Mens hoop game sunday?
is this thing going to actually happen? are we going to finally have some jmu sports to watch and discuss? I feel like I have to reacquaint myself with the entire team. lots of questions???

- we will continue with the momentum we had in November / December
- how much rust will we see? I expect a slow start. have these guys even been practicing with all the covid protocols?
- Is Ihenacho completely healed? I believe we will see much more of him in the 2nd half of the season
- will anyone step up and make some 3s

BTW - are the students back? do they start school on Monday?

RE: Mens hoop game sunday?
I’m hoping for a game to be played, but this feels like last year with so much time between games and cancellations/postponements routinely happening last minute.

Hofstra has been better than I thought and if JMU doesn’t have a full squad like coach suggested at the weekly press conference, it could be an ugly loss. Who knows who will play?
He is redshirting the 3 Freshmen in anticipation of a rule change.

Bad Hofstra played last week and inexplicably lost to a winless Tribe team. Shooting 6-34 from 3.
Good Hofstra beat #24 Arkansas on the road and took a Final Four Houston team to OT after blowing a 15 point lead in the last 10 minutes.

They lost 2 all-CAA players due to transfer in Kante and Coburn. Huge losses.
They start 4 transfers that have been good so far from Oregon, Arkansas, Iowa St, and NJIT. Throw in homegrown Jalen Ray and Kvonn Cramer and they have retooled without a hiccup. Speedy Claxton has them shooting lots o’ 3’s with guard lineups. We’ll see if the Dukes can defend it.

I believe the students are due back the following weekend. This game is 4pm and a doubleheader with the women playing earlier.
