AK is seething

How the hell is that foul on us? Poteat was all over his back, pushed Buffen under the basket as he rebounded, and somehow thats a foul on Buffen?

Rice is such a frustrating program. They have some good players but they have terrible facilities and have barely invested in being good since getting bounced from the SWC.

I like toney

I think this is a great move by AK putting Toney in the game. He’s fresh and wants to play ball.

Buffen power dribbled under the basket into two players and predictably got blocked. Sometimes our court awareness and shot selection is just so bad.

This game looks like some of the ones we have lost down at FAU and FIU. Hopefully we get our stuff together in 2nd.

At least they dont have the curtain anymore. Their basketball gym used to have a volleyball court on the end of it with a big blue curtain separating the two. They would have the other side of the gym in use during home games.

Played pretty poorly and still lead by 5 at break. I think we’ll pull away and win by 12+

Score too close for comfort

Happy to be leading at half. Think there’s a little hangover from the big win over UNT. I expect AK will light a fire or two in that locker room and we’ll take care of business in the second. Hopefully, anyway.

Gotta say I like the Rice announcers

We appear to be too happy with the win at North Texas.
The consequences of that might be a loss at Rice.
Can we just be happy today?

Don’t think I’ve ever seen so many jumpers Ricochet off the opposite side of the rim from where they were shot in one game.
