I was worried about Rice from Day 1. They played us tough in past. Our defensive intensity was lacking.

If anyone was around for the FN Bible watch back in the day, t then you would know it makes the basketball regular season much more entertaining to follow. Cheers to FN Blazer!

I am not wrong. Being “in the convo” ain’t in no matter how many pundit like AK, and that result ain’t in a vacuum. this is a dollar game and it was decided a decade ago to screw CUSA. We were never getting at large.

Just learn from the loss and move on.

You don’t know when to take the L, just like when you repeatedly claimed that this would be the best UAB football team ever. We ABSOLUTELY Could have gotten an at-large this year, with how our metrics were looking, and with how the top of the conference was playing.

Of course, now you can play Monday morning quarterback, because we pooped the bed against a bad team and we have no shot of getting an at-large

Our season is over on January 8th with the 4th loss in a 30 game season. I’d say that’s worthy of bitching about.

Right. I really thought our close losses to good or decent teams like San Fran, USC, and West Va would prepare us for these kind of tough league games. Apparently not.

Every other loss was tough to swallow, because they were also close… But this one is especially infuriating because of how bad the opponent was and how little we look like we wanted to be there

What I won’t do is pretend we were getting an at large bid, because there was less than 2 percent chance of that before we inflated the 1st ball.

We played like crap, very disappointing. Move on and improve and learn from the mistakes and challenge ourselves to not repeat those breakdowns. AK clearly is ticked as he should be.

But let’s not pretend we were ever getting an at large and stop with the histrionics about that.

had the false sense we would dominate CUSA this year with all those "ACC/SEC caliber" players transferring in.

Thought we could dominate like Calipari at memphis did for all those years.
