JSU played SCS in the Celebration Bowl in which SCS not only upset JSU but gave Sanders a good spanking.
The Celebration Bowl pits the winner of the SWAC vs MEAC which are the 2 predominant HBCU conferences in the FCS.
I thought I read somewhere that HBCUs have a choice to go this game or go into the FCS playoffs. I would assume that winning the game between the 2 conferences is more of an achievement (And more money)than winning the FCS Ship.
The Celebration Bowl is the only FCS bowl.

That's interesting. Learn something new every day. And I suppose that is the reason.
