This is pretty much where things are headed. Bidding for players will become the new recruiting.

Pretty sure Batch was just joking or saw an opportunity for a self plug for his company, bc by publicly saying they'd give him money just for coming to EMU, he guaranteed that any $$ given from them to Williams would be in violation of NIL, which must be for market value services. Hence why BYU and Miami are under investigation for companies giving $$ to the entire roster.

If Batch had recruited Williams for 1 Million, the Bluebloods of the P5 would be in an uproar because only their schools can buy players with no consequences.

So many good skill players coming out of high school, bizarre some will get a check for 500k their freshman year, and others nada under the new system.

I'm kinda shocked you haven't heard about more players getting $, how much and who is behind it.

You heard the kid going to OSU, getting 1M. Now he's transferring. What were his deals? Are they still there.

I've heard nothing except deals for their "likeness" and some players with a credit union, some bbq place sponsoring athletes and a few marking there own merchandise, camps.

Really odd how silent this all has been.
