I saw the article and thought "our game had to be in the top five or seven". Then I started scrolling down, and down and down and down and finally got to it.

Pretty cool to have a pretty objective article summing up the game in a handful of sentences.

Would have liked a fairy tale ending (or at least a shot at a play) but looking back a few weeks later---it was a pretty good game to watch.

Had an optometrist appt yesterday wearing an NIU Huskies t-shirt. He commented "didn't they play Coastal Carolina? That was a good game." This was here in Lexington SC.

The whole season was fun as hell! Ten out of 14 games pretty much right down to the wire. I can't remember a Huskies football season that was more nerve-rackingly enjoyable!

But they got the ending wrong in the article. No mention of the end of game refereeing mistake and the next day apologies by the offending conference referees.

Although the end result of this season was enjoyable, of course, I did not find all those close games enjoyable. Nerve-wracking for sure, but enjoyable? Not for me. My blood pressure, heart, and tranquilizer meds, as well as several doctor bills, mean that this season was far from enjoyable for me!

Ha! DF, next year I'll settle for a close win at Kentucky and blowout wins for the Huskies in the other 13 games. Not sure my heart can take another season like this one either!
