9 point underdog to ULM?

Everything I see is 7 to 9 point dog. They are 5-5 in their last 10, but have lost last 2 (SBC road games). We are 3-7 last 10. Their NET is 236 and ours is 317. So it makes sense to me. But I believe the game is very winnable. Especially if we have the same players available that we had the last game. Gardner should play better with a game under his belt. And hopefully we get Andric back to give us depth at PG.

The game notes say DeAntoni Gordon is out for the season and leaves the door open for Speaker and Walker, but I thought they were out for the season, too.

Well we spotted them the 9 points to start the game. 9-0 ULM.

I don't see andric or besovic on the bench.

Looks like they hit it right on the head. This team is light from the coach on down and losing to ULM means we are in serious trouble for the rest of the season.

Can't argue with that. We apparently were missing both our point guards, but they were without their point guard as well.

Really needed this one with road games at ULL and ASU coming up.

I just double-checked and ULM was picked to finish last in the conference. Who knows if that will hold up, but losing to them is not a good sign. Don't see too many road wins on our schedule, but this was one I thought we could get.

Most definitely expected to win this game despite the short bench. We had only 10 turnovers to their 15. They shot lights out. So far in the 2 SBC games the refs have let them play on the inside. That doesn't bode well for us. Being an inside out team we need to shoot FTs.

Andre Jones played a good game. He didn't attempt one 3FG. How many 3FGs did I watch him miss when he played for us. Of course, he is 6-30 on 3FGs at ULM. He had 16 points and 9 assists and 4 turnovers.

Always thought he was a great athlete with pretty good basketball talent as well. Would have been interesting to have him and Rayjon on the court at the same time. Can't even remember why he was cut loose.

Sad to think that our "ex" players would likely win the Sun Belt. Markquis, Kamani, Coupet, Andre Jones, Jaizec Lottie (averaging 24 points a game this season), Kris Bankston. Am I missing anyone? Throw in Nikola and those 7 would run away with the Belt title.

Flannigan cut Jones because he would not do what the coach wanted him to do.

Andre Jones, a sophomore guard and the leading scorer on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock men's basketball team, has been dismissed from the team "due to conduct detrimental to the program," Coach Wes Flanigan said in a statement Monday.

Just sad that the guys we kick off the team always seem to be our most talented players. Probably not a coincidence that the guys with the most injury and/or attitude problems are our "best" players. They are likely guys who are high risk, but also high reward (potentially). There are only so many Derek Fishers out there and, if they end up here, it is by accident (fell through the cracks).
