RE: Thumbs Down vs "The Deal You Make".....
Jaren Jackson (JJJ) is a perfect example. Fans were disappointed w/his production and play once he returned mainly because he wasn't being utilized properly to help the team...

This is partly on Taylor but also on the player. Maybe it was to protect him coming back from injury but once JJJ started playing more close to the basket, his overall production skyrocketed.

Social media was brutal to JJJ however he's now playing like the crazed fans had been requesting. Less 3s, more off the dribble and in the paint. It's part of sports. Alo has yet to improve much hence the frustration with his usage rate...

Again, terrible comparison of an NBA player paid millions to perform, versus a college kid with no NIL and just trying to become a man.

You get booed by your hometown fans in those cities because the fans suck. Every rational person knows that. They are only good IF you win.

When you have a reputation as a city as being bad fans, why use those examples to try and make a point. There are plenty of cities that fans will boo the refs, the opposing team, but you rarely hear them boo the home team.

Incorrect. Fans here are the same as fans in any other city. Some are bad. Most are good. One shouldn’t generalize nor make assumptions about that which they know very little.

Have fans here ever booed Santa Claus?

Again, Philly fans didn’t boo Santa…we threw snow balls at him. And, it wasn’t even the real Santa, so...

You can’t prove that and yes they did.

It wasn't the assigned Santa for the game who called in sick. They picked a fat kid dressed as Santa. It's in that video you posted.

I've been to college and pro basketball, baseball and football in quite a few cities. I will always stick by the rep that Philly and New York fans have. They are bad fans.

While I will agree that there are some good and bad fans in most cities, a few cities have the rep as having far more bad than good.

The only positive I will say about Philly, they aren't nearly as bad as Mexico soccer fans.

I almost fell for that, too. Of course he wouldn’t admit it. There would be paparazzi on every rooftop.

Do we really know who is & isn't getting NIL $? Is it public, is there an official listing? Since the admin has said repeatedly that they are uninvolved, how does anyone really know.

Think what you want. Memphis fans don’t even register on any lists. Largely irrelevant. Philly is a big town and has a rich history.

Haha……soccer fans are on different level. Mexican fans make Philly fans look like choir boys.

Which is funny cause soccer isn't worth getting pissed off about.

Yet there are countless stories from around the world about soccer fans. I remember reading that one player cost his team a game when he accidentally made a goal into the wrong net. He was later found murdered.

Even the Lomax hater should consider this extreme.

I’m a soccer guy lol. Just not crazy.

Yep, 94 World Cup. US vs Colombia. We won because an own goal. The dude that scored for us went home and was murdered by a guy that lost money on the game I believe.

Just watch the US team anytime we play Mexico at Azteca Stadium ( largest in the World )in Mexico City. Our players get drilled by objects and beer all game.

I could go on and on….

Are you that daft? Name a single non-pro sports city on that list? If you think those cities fans beat 50% of college towns, you are just not an avid sports fan.

Of course the university "can't be officially involved".
But do you really think Lomax is getting some grand NIL deal?
Again, no comparison between the #4 draft pick who signed a $105M deal, and Alex Lomax.
Fan treatment should take this into consideration.
