Kroger Eliminates Some Benefits for Unvaccinated EE's
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/14/kroger-t...orts-.html

--$50 surcharge added for unvaccinated enrolled in Kroger health plans
--eliminates paid pandemic-related leave for unvaccinated
--is not mandating vaccination

What happened to free health care? What happened to surcharges being bad?

Guess no such thing as free & only 'the kind of health care we mean'

You do not believe that corporations should be able to offer the benefits they wish?

I like this better than firing people who don't want the vaccination

Can I go ahead and charge my employees who are gay another $50? I mean, I'm not telling them they cant live a risky lifestyle, they just have to pay more for it.

The days of 'corporations being able to offer the benefits they wish' ended a long time ago.

Of course not but you are required to cover trans surgeries.

Fatasses and smokers are the reason health insurance is so high, but instead they pick on the Minorities. Racists.

I'd say the millions of American's with gravy running through their veins are probably a much bigger burden on health insurers.

We have to do a biometric analysis every year for the obesity. Smoker thing is self reported. I'm unsure what the surcharge is but I think $75 per pay period. I could be wrong.

Absolutely.

Too bad zerO fvcked that all up for those of us who had been doing just that for decades. Now we're lucky to be able to provide much of anything.

Just today, long term employee had her Dr's appt cancelled on one days notice. She made the appt 6 months ago and they cancel a day ahead.

Next available appointment? A year.

I certainly don't recall anything like that back in 2005 or whenever.

I will agree with you on that one. I also had a "cadillac" plan offered back in 2014 or so. It was very nice, but then it got taxed due to Obamacare.
