Penny is mad...

But I don't understand why?

Much of what happened last night was out the guys control...Foul trouble and injuries.

But the bigger issue was caused by him...The lineups he put out there on the floor.

Thanks for your input, coach.

Well with the injuries and fouls we ended up with 5. Don’t get the point you are trying to make.

RE: Tulsa Post Game Videos
In my opinion, his quick-short answers to the media are a result of him being backed into a corner and knowing the way he has approached these post-game conferences hasn't been working out for the better for his reputation nor the players. He's probably heard the noise from some of the fanbase/certain media members saying things like "Penny is throwing his seniors under the bus and playing the blame game after our losses" and that narrative can get into the guy's heads in the locker room as well as Penny's. By shortening your answers in these post-game comments, you don't leave much for interpretation other than oh look Penny must not be happy. He would rather have that narrative spreading than what has spread around in the past. There is a fine line of what should be said in the post-game and things that should just stay between coach and players in the locker room. I think Penny is figuring that out and based on this post-game comments, it looks like he sending this point home with his direct looks, no blinking, short responses. He looks like he saying in his head "here is your answer, we got the win, lets move on to the next one". I got no problem with it as long as we are winning games.

P.s - he did look a little high in those sleepy eyes coming out of the gate in the post-game video haha (maybe he was just tired too).

I've heard the speculation, but it could just be frustration. He had it "figured out" against Alabama and then had it disrupted by Covid. Then he looks like he has it figured out against WSU, only to have it disrupted by an injury to Duran. Still, in game he looks like he has Tulsa figured out, and then Deandre gets hurt. It has to be frustrating

What did he hurt? I know he wears a QB rib-protection corset.

He hurt his back when he got thrown down late in the game. The foul was called, and it was simply a hard play for the ball by both players, and DW landed squarely on the small of his back.

Penny has been watching Popovich and how he handles the press. Learn from one of the best. I got no problem with Penny's actions.

Seems like he isn’t having any fun and maybe this job isn’t what he thought it would be. Wouldn’t be surprised if he decided at end of year he’d rather go play golf and just be Penny

Minot sounds incredibly mature in the interview. He seems to have a great grasp on his role and what it means to be a great teammate. He seems to genuinely realize he can shine by lifting the team with his play and without playing solely for his own numbers.

Perhaps you’d like him better in a plastic face shield …

Seriously, did you listen to the players? Q, in the above interview, explains Penny and Penny’s goals coming into this game quite well.

He's certainly tired of you hounding him everywhere for an autograph.

Surely by now you know that I am not a masker/plastic face shield/covid vaxed guy--and yes Pastner looks ridiculous . ...however I stand by my statement on how Penny looked----and others have agreed and what does that have to do with Penny's goals -----JMO

I'd be shocked if he did that. He's not a quitter like you appear to be.
