Some are suggesting going after Seth's dad, but just do not see that happening. Guy has a lifetime job where he is.

I don’t know if that’s even remotely possible, but in three years here he could earn what would take the next twelve years at Denton Ryan. I believe he’s in his early fifties, so he could spend that lifetime doing something else. Or not.

Or maybe he would actually be a good play-caller. Of course, if Gunner were only considering hitting the transfer portal, that would surely solidify the decision...

Until this year, we've done pretty well with the turnover of assistants. Some might say the best sustained run in program history.
Turnover of Coordinators is not a problem.

Who is more likely to get us to the access bowl slot...a coach no one else wants who is cruising to the sunset and he's been here 5 years...or a hungry up and comer who has only been here 2 years?

He doesn't like to recruit & his wife hates Memphis.

He should reevaluate his life. He could have been King of Memphis but chose the risk of not being a head coach again. He probably won't be seeing a decent head coaching gig for awhile. Mike Norvell is on the chopping block if doesn't perform well next year. Losing the #1 recruit to JSU is his biggest blackeye.

That job has been taken twice:
