On the Minot block that got ruled a foul
Did that ball go in? Did they count that as a basket? I could not tell and they did not show a replay on TV.

I remember the guy shot two free throws, so no he didn’t score the basket. The guy made 1 of the two free throws. I wish they would have shown a replay for sure

They showed a replay at the game - it was a terrible call. Quite a few bad calls the second half.

They did show a replay. It went in. It looked like a charge to me.

Wrong play, another bad call against our guy; but the subject of the thread is the shot block call. Your talking about the charge vs blocking call that happened later in the game. And it didn't look like a charge to me.

It could have gone either way, I think. But in the second half it was NOT going to go our way.
And it’s not just us-Haith’s assistant coach was losing with the refs a few times. They uniformly stunk up the place.

When one trip down the court you allow a player to be knocked to the ground and swallow your whistle then on the very next play at the other end you call a touch foul, something's wrong. Either you're trying to exert control over the game or you're eyesight sucks. In either scenario you shouldn't be on the floor.

RE: On the Minot block that got ruled a foul
I appreciate the individuals who help our society and sports by being a REF. Generally I think these are balanced individuals whose compensation is inferior to the time and effort they give us. Their sense of fairness, decency and effort to provide a rules based morality is actually one of the foundations of this great nation (along with church, judiciary and voting). I thank them. Out of respect for their efforts when coaching I never shout a compliant at them(I do as a fan...). I pose all my objections in conversational tones during game stoppage. Again out of appreciation for their efforts.

BUT

I know that at least 10% of these guys are societal vigilante morons on a ego power trip with a 90 IQ and an agenda to get payback for getting their jock shoved on their head after JV practice each day. Why they gotta take it out on me or my team pisses me off.

I don’t know their motivation but there was a clear intention to call for Tulsa last night in the second half, it was almost like they knew the spread and were trying to make sure Tulsa covered.

Haith twice called timeouts just to work the refs. Maybe ONE of Minott’s 5 fouls was legit. Maybe one

Just once I would like to meet one of these crews in the hall and tell them their job is not to "keep the game close and encourage competition" or whatever is in their heads, but to "call balls and strikes".

On the opening tip Lester was fouled going for the ball and we get called for back court. I knew the refs were going to be bad.

But then they call Tulsa for 12 first half fouls.

Then they swap and call the majority of fouls on us in the second half.

Yeah, I didn't even know that was a thing on a tip-off.

I found out that last night that I have no clue about backcourt. I thought you actually had to have possession to have a back court call

.

I was there & that game was one of the most poorly officiated games I've seen in years.

The Jason & John show criticisms of Penny are just crazy it's like they've decided to use a Magic 8-ball to come up with talking points.

Now it's like they've decided to pit the Tigers vs. the Grizz ...........

Just BS radio if you can even call it radio

Listening to those clowns is your main mistake. The IQ level of some of these radio “personalities” is certainly less than three digits.

One foul they called when Tulsa mugged LQ, the Tulsa player argued so much that the ref actually went and reviewed it.
Ridiculous that a player protest leads to a review.
Those used to be tech fouls.
