wishful thinking?
Based on current 7-5 record, I can see us winning all games except 1 at Houston i.e. 22-6 before the conf. tourney, provided we keep the big line-up like yesterday and transition in Bates as needed and increase his mins if he plays well; and limit ALo to 8-10 mins. max. Anyone else see that?

In the end, it seems that we only need to finish 2nd in the conference. We are clearly better than Wichita and Cincinnati just lost to Tulane. UCF looked really good the other night against Michigan, and then put up a stinker against SMU.

Houston without Sasser also isn't Houston. It is wide open. Our bad start will hurt us when it comes to seeding, but it has had absolutely no bearing on whether or not we make the tournament.

RE: wishful thinking?
Houston lost 2 offensive starters. I don't see any reason we can't still win the regular season...if we keep the same lineup that looked so good against Wichita and Bama... minus A-LO

RE: wishful thinking?
9 total losses would make us a bubble team. So that would only be 3 more losses in regular season... not much room for error going forward for an at large but if we start rolling with confidence and play like we played vs Bama and Wichita we can do it

RE: wishful thinking?
Nice post, Browning! 04-rock I tend to agree with the 22-7, going into Conference Tournament, but it will very difficult. UCF can play really good. Houston is still Houston, but they do have to find adequate guard play now. SMU can play pretty good ball, too. So there are challenges out there. That Tulane loss may wind up being critical to us, but looks a little better now. It is all out there for these guys to take. I am pulling for them.
