Per Jeff Goodman’s tweet…

Charleston will not play its games Monday at Northeastern and Wednesday at Hofstra due to COVID issues within the program, source told @Stadium. Games will (hopefully) be rescheduled.

Our UNCW game Wednesday got shut down as well. This season has already turned into a joke. We'll see you all 9 weeks from today in DC (or wherever they move it to this year)

RE: CofC
Are we the only ones in D1 not allowing fans? The thought hit me this weekend when I saw lots of other Boston teams playing games (BC/BU/etc)

I know Penn stopped allowing fans a couple weeks ago. Not sure if it was just them or other ivies followed suit. Most Drexel fans are expecting us to follow suit sooner rather than later with how tight restrictions are becoming again in Philly.

RE: CofC
NU is back home Saturday afternoon to face the hottest team in the nation, #18 Charleston.

Unfortunately, this one will not be on NESN.

They're the 3rd ranked team to come into Matthews Arena. The others... Michigan State in 2015 and Duke in 1996 (I was at both games, both losses).

CofC is clicking on all cylinders and will be a handful for NU. Monmouth played them tight, so if we play a good, low turnover game, I could see us right there with them at the end. But I don't know if we can close out a team as good as the Cougars if the opportunity were there.

I just hope we play really well...

Well… that was a thorough arse kicking today. Although I’m not too surprised by a lot, but not by that much.

Turn the page and get ready for Towson.

RE: CofC
NU is back home to host Charleston at 7pm and can be seen on NESN+.

CofC is once again playing extremely well and this could be another arse kicking similar to the one NU suffered at home last year.

This weekend with CofC and at Hofstra Saturday will be rough...

RE: CofC
The line opened at CofC -3.5 and is now -4.5

If I gambled, I'd be at risk of being homeless tomorrow if NU actually covered.

03-lol

As for the game, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that we went toe-to-toe with CofC. A game like this is where we missed Pridgen. Because we had nothing from the bench, other than Metcalf, which is weird to say.

You can see that when they click on all cylinders they can be very good against really good teams - but they still come up short for various reasons. Mainly inconsistency and shooting.

Frustrating to constantly see, but I do think they're playing better.

Curious to see how they play at Hofstra.

Man, I would have lost a fortune. Amazing how the line ends up being so close so often. Anyway, I was there and was impressed. We really went toe to toe with them for the most part. Tomorrow at Hofstra could be interesting.

Yeah. Hofstra relies heavily on two players. The two of them account for fifty-five percent of their scoring. If one of them has a bad day and we play the way we've played the last few games we' could see an upset.
