Didn’t realize we were sticking with divisions again this year. No one in the East has played more than one game yet and FAU & Charlotte have yet to play a conference game. Sorry I missed that UAB/NT game, my enthusiasm was drained this season after ODU’s…..let’s say lackluster start. I had high hopes this would be a good year for both the conference and the Monarchs. Conference play is almost always fun in this league though, if Covid would get out of the way it could still be.

Wow, yeah - the West is 9-6 in conference play as a group, while the East is 1-4. This doesn't mean anything, but it's jarring to see.

It’s because West has won their home games over East opponents; Rice beat MTSU in Houston, LaTech beat Marshall in Ruston, and LaTech beat WKU in Ruston. This will change when East plays at home.

Right. Doesn't mean anything. UTSA and USM will have to play eastern teams at some point. I get it. Just looks funny with the coincidences of eastern teams having to cancel games and the west coming out on top in a couple of cross-divisional games.

I think the more eye popping part is not the record but the fact that the 7 western teams have played a combined 15 games where the 7 east teams have played only 5

I think so. We just didn’t play well and Rice capitalized. A lot like football season.

If not for incredibly scorching hot shooting by Archibald and Williams this would have been a very close finish. If they are so bad, doesn't say much about us.
