I don't disagree about the quality of the product but at least in recent years even lower tier bowl game ratings blow away even premier college basketball matchups. I suspect while people may hear about Pickett or Walker sitting when they turn on the TV they still see Pitt vs MSU and quickly forget about op outs.

RE: Opting Out
PU QB Kenny Pickett did not want to risk injury, so he skipped PU's bowl. He is going to play in the Senior Bowl. Do QB's wear yellow jerseys in the Senior Bowl?

UC has 7 in SR. Bowl - Ridder, Ford, Pierce, Sanders, Beavers, Bryant, Cook.

They don’t blitz in the senior bowl. The game is an after thought. The big thing for players is how they are closely evaluated in the week of practice ahead of the exhibition.

RE: Opting Out
It seems like opting out, transfer portal, and NIL deals are all parts of the same story. When I saw the Oklahoma QB enter the portal but say he was still considering staying at Oklahoma, I was like yeah, may as well keep all the options open that you can. And I think if the OU boosters come up with enough money to keep him there, the OU fans will still cheer for him, as long as he is good.

How bout after the season everybody just goes into the portal and we can pick teams all over again like we did at recess back in grade school.
