Oh, how shocking to pull out the race and sex card. How about the problem is that she doesn’t seem all that interested in addressing the primary job with which she has been identified — dealing with the issues of illegal immigration at the border?

There’s no doubt that the border can be a tough issue, particularly when the Biden policies have only made things worse. Biden assigned her that, so one might ask what he was thinking when he gave her an assignment that could only hurt her — since he’s not going to correct the bad policies. But the bottom line is that she hasn’t seemed all that engaged in the effort and that’s all on her.

As the Times story even notes, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), a moderate who has been very upset about the problems at the border, said his experiences with Harris’ office have been disappointing. Cuellar offered to talk with her and give her help when she did her brief layover visit to his state. When Mr. Cuellar heard she was traveling to the border in June, he had his staff call her office to offer help and advice for her visit. They never called him back.

“I say this very respectfully to her: I moved on,” Mr. Cuellar said. “She was tasked with that job, it doesn’t look like she’s very interested in this, so we are going to move on to other folks that work on this issue.”

This was similar to what the Guatemalan president said about Harris — that she visited and then he didn’t hear from her again.

We could also take issue with the claim that somehow she’s getting treated more unfairly than her predecessors like Mike Pence or Dan Quayle. She’s a Democrat, which means that she still largely gets a pass for her failures in her job. Meanwhile, Quayle was permanently shamed by the liberal media for a momentary comment about spelling “potato.” Pence was demonized as a religious zealot and mocked for wanting to be faithful to his wife. Neither of them got a pass from the media for being white or male.

Meanwhile, guess who Kamala is asking for help and advice? None other than the original person who can’t accept her loss and that people don’t like her — Hillary Clinton. Probably not the best person to go to. What did Clinton tell her?

“There is a double standard; it’s sadly alive and well,” Clinton said. “A lot of what is being used to judge her, just like it was to judge me, or the women who ran in 2020, or everybody else, is really colored by that.”

Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), the former chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, showed that there’s still friction with the White House over how Harris is viewed. “What the White House could’ve done is been clearer with the expectations of what was supposed to happen under her watch,” she said.

So, Harris can cast about for reasons. But she has no one to blame for the low approval ratings but herself and the guy who put her in the job.

The irony here is that the media has gone easy on her because she is a brown woman.

The irony is truly beautiful.

A VP who is in that position solely because of her sex and race, is complaining that she is being treated unfairly because of her sex and race.

Leaked Snippet of Kamala Harris Interview Paints a Bleak Picture of Her Judgment

Quote:After spending much of Biden’s term in relative hiding, Kamala Harris has made a lot of news lately. Unfortunately for her, none of it has been good.

From blowing up on podcast hosts to claims that racism and sexism are driving her approval down, it’s been one conflict after another for the vice president. And to put it mildly, she’s handled none of it well. That’s probably why she’s doing an interview on CBS News this Sunday. When nothing else is working, get out in front of the bad news, I suppose.

And while most of the interview is under embargo for several more days, we are getting some leaked snippets. In one, Harris is asked what she feels like the top national security issue is for the United States. Her answer paints a bleak picture of her judgment.

Personally, I find this idea of our “democracy” being in grave danger from domestic threats to not only be dumb, but dangerous. When a government begins to spin a narrative that it must be given more power to target its own citizens under the guise of “protecting” itself, that never leads anywhere good.

That concern happens to be absolute nonsense as well. January 6th was a blip on the radar that faded as quickly as it started. It did not and does not represent some ever-present danger lurking to bring down our “democracy” (besides, we are a republic, but I digress). Democrats are being nakedly political when they continue to make it seem as if our system of government is teetering on the edge, only savable by legislating a massive federal takeover of elections.

Past that, Harris’ answer shows the distinct idiocy with which she so routinely operates. Contrary to what she says, the United States actually does face many national security threats outside our own borders, with China representing the top of the heap. That communist nation continues to encroach on freedom around the globe, but militarily and via predatory loan schemes where they essentially subjugate poor countries in places like Africa and South America. For a vice president to not list China when asked a question about national security threats is a dereliction of duty at this point.

But perhaps she simply has no idea what she’s talking about? Notice that she once again uses the excuse that she can’t discuss national security issues because they are “classified.” Now, I’m not that old, but I’m old enough to remember past vice presidents having no issue discussing foreign policy with the press. When Harris is asked questions in that realm, though, she continually claims she doesn’t have the legal power to talk about it. That’s a garbage excuse and points to fact that she’s unprepared to discuss such serious issues.

In short, the empress has no clothes.

The complete opposite of Bunker Joe. That's what makes this so entertaining to sit back and watch it unfold. When your VP continually makes uninformed/misguided public comments that hurt you there is no one else to blame but your own ignorance at picking Kham-uh-lah in the first place.
