Thanks for letting those of us watching livestats know it was over. It seemed to be stuck on 70-68 with :00 seconds left for several minutes.

Great win!

That was impressive. Best win in the Siddle era. First 4 game winning streak in 4 years. Jaylen Simms stepped up like a full-grown man at the end
.

That was the best 40 minutes of play by a Seahawk team in years.

Is this the same team that took that awful beating at jacksonville?

Seems like we've stumbled into our best lineup.

Sims, Phillips, Okauru, White, Kelly.

We were selective from 3 again and were 7-14 for 50%.
Outrebounded Delaware 35-32
15-20 FT's for 75%

BOOM! I watched livestats as well; awful way to follow a CBB game, but sounds like a great win. Sims closed out those last three minutes 8-8 from the line. A great way to start conference play.

Delaware isn’t a good 3-pt shooting team, especially if Ryan Allen is still suspended, so zone is the best way to combat them.

Nelson is a stud, and on both ends of the court. He’s going to be a pest tonight.

I think we found our big man on defense.

With ~6:00 to go we were 7-12 from the line, and we didn't have a FG the last 3 minutes (we held them without a FG for 2+ too, I believe). Those last free throws by Sims were clutch.

For those that watched/listened, help me understand what happened with :36 to play. Statcast had Sims hitting two FTs with :56 left and then Sims having a jumper blocked with :36 to play.

Fully agreed. Kelly was my MVP, even with Sims closing the game out for us in heroic fashion. Kelly kept this game close my frustrating Painter all night, while Sims took us home. Shy was awesome too down the stretch.

Helluva win for Siddle, the guys, and the program as a whole. Very proud of this upset win.

Kelly may be the key to this team competing in the CAA. He is an absolute beast on defense and can get a paw on pretty much every shot anywhere near him. He is also really good at hitting the offensive boards, snagging a few for putbacks and keeping the ball alive. I know Siddle feels obliged to start Baker, but Kelly is a difference maker and has EARNED the start for our next game. Baker can sub in for both White and Kelly to keep us fresh in the post.

I really don’t care who starts but I one hundred percent agree with you that he needs to play and play A lot

Not a chance a CB McGrath-coached team wins this one. Siddle is growing into the HC role nicely, like we hoped he would.

Sims hit both free throws after the flagrant 1 (20 second shot clock implemented) and they cleared out for Shy. Shy went to work and seemingly created enough space for elbow jumper but sensed enough of a close out that he dumped it to Sims who didn’t have enough time to do anything with it so he batted the ball towards Kelly and it could have been deflected at that point but the shot clock was basically spent anyway. Hope that helps.
