Not starting doesn’t necessarily mean not playing but it may be that he is not playing.

Sucks ot start CAA play with a home game and no fans. Not getting the boost we would normally.

Figured out what you meant.

Tied at the half at 32. Good offensive half. I wish we capitalized and secured that 9 point lead, but it’s a game of runs. Fornes has been shooting well. Hopefully he’s emerging from whatever early season funk he was in.

RE: Delaware - GAME 10 - CAA GAME 1
One hell of a half for the Seahawks!

We may have found the formula against the Hens. Kelly is dominating their big men on defense and is contesting every shot in the paint. Our entire defense is harassing them on every shot. The combo of Sims, Phillips and Okauru at the top of the key looks fantastic. Great ball movement and passing the entire half. SEVEN assists for UNCW compared to ONE for Delaware.

As predicted, we took a lead then Delaware went zone to slow us down. It is hard to fathom that UNCW has not attempted a single FT. If we can stay disciplined, play to our strengths and keep Kelly out of foul trouble, we may be able to shut down their post play, defend their guards and keep this one close enough to win. Painter looks completely flustered when Kelly is guarding him.

Where has this team been all season?

Seven assists sounds fantastic and drastically different than what we’ve seen all season. Listening to Mike and it sounds like the ball isn’t sticking and moving around a lot, which is exactly what we’ve been saying and wanting. When that ball moves, our team can utilize our speed and quickness to a much better degree in the half court.

Hope we keep this up for the second half.

Also, Fornes has been playing very well this game. Great to see.

We've made a massive leap on defense in the past three weeks and having a rim protector like Amari can solve a lot of problems. He looks confident and in control when he's one-on-one vs. Painter, which is huge.

Thrilled with the energy and ball movement. Hopefully, we don't fall in love with the midrange jumper in the second half. Gotta challenge Painter a little more on that end.

Hope we can finish it off. Regardless of outcome, though, another 20 minutes like that and I'll feel pretty good about where we're headed.

Fornes inability to hit a shot was shocking to me. I know it was only practice, but having watched him he could score at will.

Baker is better on offense, but in this game we need the defense of Kelly in the post.

Up 1, but Phillips and Mike pick up their third fouls with 18 minutes left. Danger time.

Finally get to the FT line and Sims misses four in a row.

We have no offense but Sims on the floor right now. At least have to defend. Bring in Kelly!

Kelly has hands of stone on offense, but on defense he blocks shots, rebounds and keeps potential rebounds alive. We really need him in the game against this taller Delaware team in the post. He's getting to every ball before they are and allowing our guards to use their quickeness to get to rebounds off his tips. He's the key to us winning this game.

How in the world was that a foul on White? Painter falls on White and White is called for the foul.

We haven't gotten the benefit of the whistle for the first 30 minutes, so I'd be more than happy to call it even if we can get a few makeup calls down the stretch.

As much as I like Harvey, this lineup with Sims, Okauru, Phillips, White and Kelly looks lethal on offense and defense.

Win or lose Kelly is our player of the game. He's doing everything tonight.
