RE: Drexel - GAME 18 - CAA GAME 9
I’m talking about when Shy probes the lane or goes to the hole. Amari will get his swats but Shy will get some shots close to the hole too. Heck, would y’all throw in a zone? We got bailed out by Mike and Fornes the other night because we didn’t exactly reverse it and hit the high post well against a freaking 2/3 of all things. Shy and Sims need to quickly swap positions during zones so that Sims is high post target.

We will see about turnovers. We will see about that. Spiker is a good coach and has well coached teams.

I would be surprised if we go zone. But Amari has done his fair share of camping in the middle of the paint. JMU wanted to drive relentlessly too with their guards, and it didnt take long before they hesitated every single time, because of his impact. Dont under estimate what he is doing, he will shock you. He has done a remarkable job eliminating drives by himself quickly in the league. At JMU he had 4 blocks and probably another 5 alterations. Your guards will beat ours off the dribble, no doubt

Hope you play Butler for 40 if that’s the case. Sometimes just getting the ball on the glass against a shot blocker like that will work for others to get the crumbs-provided it’s not swatted away. We have some guys that like to block shots too.

Hard to argue taking minutes away from Amari Williams right now, even for an all-conference caliber player. (Our coach is too hard-headed to put both on the court at the same time despite being our only 2 true forwards)

If they're indeed your only true forwards, then it wouldn't be a good idea to put them both on the court at the same time, since you likely need one of them on the court at all times, no?

Did I miss a prediction of a Drexel victory? Seems like that has been working for month than a month. It has been a fun first half of the conference season. If the Tribe hadn't choked away a win against JMU, I would be very happy with how the conference season has gone so far. UNCW and Towson both significantly better than predicted and JMU and Northeastern much worse.

FWIW, I see no way the Tribe even competes with the Seahawks this weekend.

You did miss it. My job is in breaking down how we win.

Well B Hawk? 07-coffee3

Sorry fellas. Just got out of work.

Should be a fun matchup. Trask will certainly be rocking. I think our legs are getting tired and this is going to be a tough matchup. Wynter always plays us well.

Lol. Well. It’s because I think we’re going to win. Hard to predict something my brain doesn’t believe.

Drexel gets a lot of its points via the 3 pointer. A third of their points come from behind the arc and they shoot 36.4% as a team from long range. Hopefully we defend the 3 well tonight.

On TV , so far the crowd has yet to get integrated into the game. Seems pretty quiet for a good-sized crowd.

They are shooting 57% early in this game. No Bueno.

Wow. Points are coming off defense (again). We are back in a game that was on the verge of getting out of hand.

As much fun as rallys are , a 2nd half Hawk blowout would be a nice change of pace
