Marreon was awesome when his shot was on, but the team was stagnant when he was chucking 3’s and not making them. This team is very good when it moves the ball around. IMO we lost the Richmond game when we tried to go one on one too much in the second half.

As stated previously, Shumate and Milner have both improved from last year. Milner in particular is much more consistent in his shooting.

If we can develop a little offensive help from our bench and/or some luck (Edu) fall our way for a change maybe we can end the drought.

And the MAC has joined the bandwagon and changed the forfeit rules to match what other are doing.

Basically, need 7 healthy athletes and 1 healthy coach to play. If don't have that, game will attempt to be rescheduled. If it can't be rescheduled, it will be a no-contest.
If a team has 7 players and a coach but chooses not to play, then it is a forfeit.

So, you could potentially see a team with the 7 players on the bottom of their roster as the only healthy ones try to play a game which would be silly. And at least last year, they intentionally scheduled some games in December, to give a little more flexibility to reschedule games later. This year there would be little room left to shoehorn game in and I don't think that would be good for the students to cram in a third game in a week. But on the other hand, no contests benefit the worse team and penalize the better one. Let's hope things don't come down to this too much.

I like all this pre-season optimism and I hope, after all these years, it turns out to be predictive of how the season goes. And maybe even that thing they have in Cleveland at the end.

I’m a little skeptical about Edu’s impact, particularly how it might affect Shumate, whose game I really like, on the offensive end. I don’t think I’m pessimistic, I just think that, like most everyone, I’ve been disappointed so many times that I don’t want to get my hopes up too high.

I am curious why Farmer and Carcoana didn't play more. UT had this game in hand, perhaps Coach was worry what happen at Richmond would have been a repeat against Marshall. I would have like all the starters pulled at the 8 minute official timeout mark with a new 5 in the game. Like Saunders earlier in the year, I wonder if Farmer is now in the doghouse and possibly a transfer out. I wonder if Hill is still around next season. One more thing, I would to see Jacobi work at a playing guard position during practice sessions. This could open more freedom for him to shoot the rock around the perimeter.

I would have liked to see bench alternating in with starters, to get practice running plays with them but not a wholesale hockey line change. At least not until about where that was done.
