Good news today for Rayjon
OSHKOSH, Wis. (December 21, 2021) – The Minnesota Timberwolves announced today they have signed Wisconsin Herd guard, Rayjon Tucker to a 10-day hardship contract.

Rayjon Tucker has appeared and started in all 13 games for the Herd this season. He is currently averaging 17.1 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game and 1.4 steals per game. He averages the most minutes per game on the team with 32.2 minutes while shooting 43.8% from field goal range, 29.7% from the 3 point-line and 68.8% from the free-throw line.

A hardship contract is a temporary roster spot that allows teams to add more players beyond their roster limit. Teams are allowed to do this when they have experienced multiple players being out due to injury or illness.

It appears that Rayjon's lot in life maybe being a "fringe" NBA player. He has been up and down between the G-League and NBA quite a few times already. He has had some 10-day contracts, but I believe he was on the Milwaukee Bucks roster for close to half a season last year. If he has been smart about it, he probably has been able to put away quite a bit of money already. May not be the easiest life, but I would bet he is doing pretty well financially. Maybe he will eventually stick in the NBA. If not, he'll probably move on to Europe where he could make some real good money in one of the better European leagues.

RE: Good news today for Rayjon
Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe an NBA player is fully vested after 3 seasons and will get a 56,000 per year pension at age 62. If Rayjon can stick A little this season that will be 3 different seasons he has played in the NBA and would qualify. He is a talent but needs to shoot more consistently to play a lot but I think he can play on the right team

Yes, I have read stuff on the internet stating that his shooting is what is holding him back. He is super talented, but so is just about everyone in the NBA. Tough for a guard, who is an average shooter, to stick on a roster.
