At the break, about how many games will a team have played?

More than that. looked at my Wizards. They've played 31 games so far and have 26 more before the break. So that would be about 57. That seems about right.

Here in Memphis the Grizzlies would have played 59 of their 82 games when they hit the All Star break. Really not the halfway point of the season many people think but more of a 7th inning stretch.

That is mostly because the NBA wants its all-star game to be played after the Super Bowl and not during the NFL playoffs, for obvious reasons. The weekend closest to halfway through the NBA regular season would be the MLK holiday weekend in January, a weekend that has 6 NFL playoff games.
