60-46 final.
Well, at least they broke 40.

RE: WBB @ Missouri State Game Thread
Never thought I would see a game where Q scores 0. That can't happen in MAC play.
Defensively, I thought the Rockets played well. Held MSU to 33% shooting, although let them get to the line a little too much. Rebounded well in the 1st half, but not in the 2nd at all. Was nice to see Jansen score a few points, but someone has to make a shot. I was cautiously optimistic about Noveroske early on, but her limitations are really starting to show.
One can hope that this is the one really bad game for the year, and they got it out of their system, but playing Kent next is going to be really tough the way they shoot. Of course, Kent is on COVID pause, so one can hope they may be rusty.

Disappointing effort. Might imagine a larger margin when they shoot 27% and Lockett is scoreless against a good team. The "good" news is Missouri State didn't play well either shooting 32% and losing their leading scorer early in the third quarter. The game was 17-16 when Lockett got her 2nd foul and left the game early in the second quarter. MS quickly expanded their lead which was around 20 pts after that. Wiard had 11 in the first half but no one provided consistent offense after that until late when it didn't matter. Will have to regroup and play better to compete with Kent.

Major problem with shot selection.

Garcia seems to have fallen off the map the last two games.
MSU 2 points, 3 rebounds
SIUE 0 points, 1 rebound

Lots of UT shots were short, particularly in the first half; tired legs? They got some good looks but could not convert. Free throw shooting was off as well. MOST really caused problems with Rockets' inside game. Some ugly looking shots going up.

Wiard will sleep soundly tonight. She battled full tilt the entire game.
