Owens is really good, and probably taking a pay cut. Something smells.

Yeah, it is weird for him to leave UAB for same role at Georgia Southern, but I feel this is more of a Helton thing than something wrong at UAB. He has been with Helton and is loyal to him. He is just returning to his friend.

He was never with Clay Helton, was he? I know he coached with Tyson.

Correct. As Answer said last night, these are lateral moves which is puzzling. However craddock is a getting a pay bump to $500k at Troy according to someone who told me on Twitter

Craddock leaving for an OC position I understand. But it's not a good luck to lose a guy to the same role at GA Southern (especially as we transition to the AAC).

Especially if it may come with a pay cut.

Who knows…… we could be transitioning to a modern offense

We've committed to increasing assistant salaries and increasing the number of off the field support staff. Helton will likely give him a Running Game Coordinator title that will come with a small pay bump.

If it happens I'm glad you guys think very highly of him. Our OL play has been dismal since 2016.

Weird losing position coaches to Sun Belt teams - at least Craddock is getting a big pay bump as an OC and not TE coach. Maybe we can bring in some AAC caliber coaches to replace.

All these coaches know each other. Example: This could be as simple as the coaches wife wants to be closer to her sister that’s 30 minutes away. Thank you Coach Owens

He has been with Tyson Helton, same family lol

Maybe Clark told him we were getting someone to replace him and allowed him to move on without being “fired”.
