Great size and speed. His route running and agility are a little unorthodox, but still very exciting. Kind of like a less explosive Kadarius Toney.

He should be good enough to start a year and transfer to a bigger program.

Guy can fly with great straight line speed. Most of his TDS were on Go routes. His breaks in and out of routes need heavy work. Hopefully they can coach him up on his route running.

He almost falls down every time he breaks…100% unorthodox. I think coaching can clean that up.

He breaks his own ankles as well as his defenders

He's got potential. The scouts have been watching him all year..

But he seems more like a UDFA than anything.

Didn't he have another year of eligibility?

I'm guessing he graduated and just figured he'd roll the dice at the next level.

No he had used his RS and his additional Covid year. He was at Wisc 5 years.

Correct, last year was his 6th.

I never understand the “declared for the draft” when the player is out of collegiate eligibility.

Nothing I have heard…although I have heard unless something told wild happens (it won’t) we are not bringing in any more transfer linebackers. There was a whiff where I think it was assumed there would be a hit…

I hope that doesn’t mean more 4-2 hijinks….but…whatever. This team isn’t really built on defense anyway.

There have been a few commitments since the early signing period so if any of them are going to be on scholarship then they will be announced. Otherwise, they must be PWO's and won't be officially announced until they are enrolled in classes in the fall. By my count there are 10 commits that have no been officially announced yet. 1 transfer that doesn't graduate until the end of spring, and 9 HS recruits.

WR's: John Gore Jr., Kobe Askew, Tyler Gentile, and Ryan McDonald.
TE's: Tyler Gaines, Devariae Burns, Hyatt Timosciek, and James Smith Jr.
QB: Josh Holst
DE: Ajahvea Robinson
S: DaRon Gilbert (Grad Trans)

As for transfers, there is no set date that players must decide their destination. There are now 2 "windows" in which players have to enter the portal in order to be eligible to play the next season (Dec. 5 - Jan 19, and Apr 15 - Apr 30), but they can choose a new school at any time, up until the fall semester begins.

So new incoming transfers could pop up at any time, and we could still (and likely will based on hurt feeling in spring ball) some departures in April, but for now probably pretty quiet.

Yep! To hear some say it, "we got the good nazis."

but yeah-- Von Braun was the head man. Interesting story-- they almost got caught by the soviets in the immediate aftermath of the end of the war!

I have heard...the NASA facility and the birthplace of the KKK are roughly a mile apart from each other down there.

Offer out to Jimmy Athans, who would presumably play slot receiver. Trying to flip him from Loras!

The good news is that the coaches appear to be making a lot more early 2024 offers. That might be my imagination but appears to be the case based on offers coming out of recent Junior days. I hope it's true, they definitely need to change up recruiting.

He was offered a PWO at SIU, may be the same situation here. I see we offerred a 6'4 RB out of NC who is a track guy (300m & 500m) named Jailen Hicks. He is a strider so I would assume a WR. Has a few offers... Grambling....

What do you mean? They really need to have a good relationship for NIU to extend an offer per TH. Seems like it has been working great the last few classes getting only a few players with other offers.

Clearly those guys are going to take their only D1 offer. I think his recruiting needs to change DRASTICALLY. I found this class underwhelming again.

News for today is we hired a D3 coach that was 8-22 to be an assistant coach and now we are working to flip a recruit from Loras. I’m trying to stay optimistic….
