Was thinking the same thing. The only players with power 5 offers under Hammock are the RBs. Really nobody else. I’m beginning to think his recruiting is insanely overrated. Wish I was wrong, but it’s been over 3 years now

Wow. We beat out Northern Michigan and Walsh University.

Don't know if he can play, but I'm fine taking a shot on a JUCO pass rusher with his athletic profile. 11.3 100 meters in high school. Can 360 dunk pretty easy. Played with and against good competition. His team is ranked 3rd in JUCO and played against 4 teams in top 15.

Heard Hammock is turning his attention up north for recruits:

Maybe someone can help me, I don't see him on the roster or the stats for this season for Iowa Western.

I found the same. Nor did he appear in any previous roster. Weird.

With how many players in the portal why not reach there? Instead a JUCO guy who no one wanted.

I’d assume the JUCO guys will be sought after less and less with the portal as you can get players that played at this level.

We use to lose players to Iowa Western when they didn’t make grades. I’m sure they have a great JUCO talent pool.

Yes, I post about his commitment on 9/23/22 on this thread. He had 3 other offers including Yale.

Agreed. I put the kool-aid down a while ago.

I have major issues with hammock as a recruiter. He can’t recruit linebackers. Blows my mind. Safeties get moved to LB…no high school backers who just stick where they are and get better.

Pretty sure Hammock has a good chance of landing this kid. Decommited from Georgia State. Our offer comes in. He says he’s gonna announce soon. I feel like the tea leaves are very favorable.

Could you see a time where mid majors might be the first stop for low 4 stars/high 3 stars? They could come in and start on day one at NIU, play, two years, transfer with red shirt in tack. Then move on to a P5 team and play two years. Right now, many sit on bench and don't show their ability for a couple or years. Could MAC be new JC program?

Honestly, I think straight out of HS many of them want NIL money. Maybe after a few years of barely playing they realize they should transfer to G5 and get some playing time if their goal is NFL.
