Yeah. Before the games started, I was confident in only a couple games in favor of the MAC.

I figured Toledo would beat Middle Tennessee and maybe Ball State over Georgia State although Ball State has underachieved all year (in regards to my personal expectations) so I wasn't super confident.

Games that I figured were highly weighted in favor of the opponent were Liberty over Eastern Michigan, Nevada over Western Michigan, and Boise State over Central Michigan.

Leaving NIU/Coastal Carolina, Miami/North Texas, and Kent State/Wyoming as complete toss ups which could go either way. Obviously, NIU/Coastal Carolina was close but Wyoming was a two touchdown difference.

So, unless I'm not sure what a "strong showing" is, then I agree with you. Maybe a strong showing is just being competitive in the games, or maybe winning about half of them (which, I think would be an improvement on recent years)?

Miami of Ohio is giving the Mean Green problems right now. Their defense looks awesome. If NIU can muster up that kind of defense or anything close with the way our offense can score, we won’t lose a MAC game next season.

Thank you Redhawks for giving the MAC a "W" even though it looked like another MAC screw job. That over-turned call on the completion with under 10 minutes to go was so bad even the announcers were questioning where the evidence was to change the call. Big-time goal line stand for MU. Our MAC mediocrity (6-6 Miami) is better than C-USA mediocrity (6-6 North Texas), however, C-USA officiating appears to be worse than MAC officiating which I didn't believe was possible.

If WMU can't defeat a team in their own backyard that lost its coaching staff, QB, and other players that would be a major disappointment.

I’ll never forget Coach Tuke and some grad assistants schooling Fresno in Boise. Still Nevada is in a worse spot.

Ball State being taken out to the woodshed by Georgia State. The MAC is cementing its place as the worst FBS conference.

Tim Lester will probably still find a way to lose.

The same MAC teams looking ridiculous in their bowl games (including BSU) beat the Broncos during the regular season. So I’m not getting good feels about our game.

This isn’t even like “the old days” when we’d get thumped by low-to-mid level P5 teams in bowls. We’re losing to programs that weren’t even in FBS a handful of years ago.
