Exclamation 2021 Football season predictions
i think 100% of the people assumed JMU would crush Morehead state in game 1 so a little late season prediction thread is still in play.
Where are the Dukes going to finish this year?

11 regular season games and hopefully multiple playoff games.
A perfect season will be 15 games.
The Dukes could play 16 games if they don't make a top 8 seed and have to play on the Thanksgiving weekend while the top teams have a bye.

Whatcha got? 15-0 ? 7-4 missing the playoffs? Something in between?

RE: 2021 Football season predictions
Dukes will win all games against all opponents and win the National Championship. Short and sweet.

RE: 2021 Football season predictions
Am worried about our O line and the extent to which it can effectively protect Cole and create lanes for our stable of RBs, as well as the lack of experience behind Cole at the QB spot.

I'll say 11-3.

O-line will be fine. While a healthy Liam would be a boost he still only represented 20% of the starting o-line. Wrobo will coach these talented but young athletes into a championship quality unit. JT Timing is far more critical at center as he runs the o-line when on the field. In Wrobo we trust!

15-0 anything less is a disappointment. (my usual outlook for most seasons)

RE: 2021 Football season predictions
15-0. We win the Natty by two touchdowns or more. Similar to the Natty against Youngstown, we dominate early and cruise the rest of the game.

Our game against Weber will be a good barometer for forecasting the remainder of the season. I believe we beat Weber by at least 10, they will make the playoffs, and it could be Weber we see in Frisco, although Montana looks very good early.

13-1. Undefeated in the regular season, but injuries will pile up and hit at an important position (possibly QB) and we'll lose in the semis to someone like NDSU. There'll be speculation Cignetti can't get us over the hump.

I predict 1 loss. No idea when or where, but we'll lose 1 game.

10-1 regular season, 12-2 overall with semifinal loss.

As I’ve said before, I would never predict 11-0 or making Frisco.

Random observation:

This week will start the streak of 3 games in a row where we play a team with Wildcats as their mascot
- Weber
- UNH
- Villanova

Sucks to be correct with this prediction, but it is what it is.

I also believe it will be a rough couple of years as the team transitions to FBS. Playing a full FBS schedule will be much more difficult than competing for one FBS game a year. Need to get bigger, faster, and stronger and most importantly build the quality depth required to compete in FBS.
