Bye Bye YouTubeTV
Notice that they failed to reach agreement with ESPN and those channels have disappeared. I cancelled my service today and will be looking for the best option. Terrible timing for anyone turning on their television to watch Bowl Games. One redeeming factor it is nice to cancel a Google owned entity.

Disney is playing 4-D chess here.

Cancel contract to show ESPN/ABC with your primary streaming competition on the eve of CFB Bowl season and just as conference games start up for CBB.

All of those customers look at the next live TV streaming platform (that has no Google controlled media that they can retaliate with), Hulu Live TV

Hulu Live TV is owned by Disney

The H(M)ouse always wins.

Yea. I'm holding out at least a week. I don't have a ton of time to watch these small bowl games anyways right now. Disney is trying to force people to the platform they own. It's smart. Hell if they let this go long enough I'll have to cave but for now I'll try to give youtube tv time.

For the time being I can use a family members cable log in to get it through the ESPN app but if this becomes prolonged I'd move to Hulu. Typically I don't worry about these things but I forgot Disney owned Hulu so they benefit from making this a little more painful.

I do think the future is always going to move towards direct distribution, Disney having Hulu gives them an advantage.

It’s the only reason I have YouTube TV.

I have Hulu somehow as well but I only use that for UC basketball games since those are all on there via ESPN+

Disney blinked. Too much revenue to go missing from 1st quarter. Not sure what games they were playing with Google, but the angle they were playing wasn't too strong.
